Hi kaz, my book shows both birds to have similar markings - depending on male/female or juvenile/adult. No nests, I'm afraid - they are just passing through.

Thanks for info on birds Steve................very interesting............I have just fed the birds & ducks that come into my garden..........babies will be around soon...........swans just flown off after feed............heaven

Remember this from 2008?
Here's the magnificient Swallowtail Butterfly, caught on our video camera (in fact one of the first films we took) in Eftichia's garden in 2008.
Always makes me think of those summer days in Roda.

Well they are back - seen today, were the very first swallowtail butterfly and hummingbird hawkmoth - it is very warm.

Wonderful................guess what arrived in our garden yesturday? ...a cabbage butterfly.......is it worth growing cabbages!!!!!

On its way to northern pine forests, this Greenshank stopped of for a little fishing in Roda's harbour today
