We've seen Makis again and there will be a webpage online under 'Roda Pages' within the week. He will be making a few improvements this year including air-conditioning throughout. He will open on May 3rd. Send us you bookings and enquiries and we will deal with them for the time being. We'll contact everyone individually when the page is online.

Yay! He's going ahead with the air-con too. He was telling us last year that he was getting it. But after the fiasco with Libra, I was thiking that maybe it'd be too much to be forking out in his first year of going independant. I'm so pleased he's decided to go for it at last. We've been trying to tell him for years that he'd make more money this way, but he was always just that wee bit scared of losing the security of the holiday company behind him. Can't wait to see the new page.

I dont think we would bother with the air con if we stay with Makis this year, the apartment we were in last year was cool enough to do without it. One thing about the air con I dont like is the price, we've been charged 50 euro a week in some places now I just have a few extra nightcaps & I sleep like a baby.

I'm not that keen on aircon. It makes my eyes & nose all dry. Unless it's REALLY hot & then I don't mind it to cool off in.

Me too Jackie......I actually 'hate' it..... ......a few years ago when it was 'mega' hot, we hired fans at Makis and they certainly did the job....
I go to Roda to be hot anyway.....

Makis will be charging 5 euros per day for air-conditioning, Alan - which is about the going rate everywhere.

I should think 70uros if it's 5 per day, not unless he gives you a deal for the 2weeks.......we prefer not to have it,just open the windows and pull the curtain across.....fresher air...Kaz

i love the heat but i need my aircon. not been to roda for a while but in the last few years ive paid anything from 80 to 100 euros per week, that was in crete and rhodes. so 70 euros is a good price. anyone know how much the roda oasis charges for air con. im budgetting it will be a lot as we have 2 rooms. does anyone knowif once there it would be possible to upgrade privately to an apartment there and what that might cost. we got holiday a lot cheaper than expected but normally we would go for an apartment.
i fondly recall my first stay in roda 1n 1991 during a heatwave spending the night in a shower in helens apartments lol. was a b****y great holiday.

Hi km - it's looking like 420 euros for 14 nights in a 2-person studio in June. That's £365 on yesterday's exchange rate. Hope that helps,
Steve

Hi km - the price is for two people in one studio for 14 nights or just over £90 per person per week. The apartment prices person will be something like 20% less. We may take an extra couple of days to publish the page because our main computer is being serviced.
