During the winter, Vassilis opens the Roundabout Bar every afternoon and has a steady trickle of regular customers. When he announced that he was off to the UK for Christmas, one customer asked where he would now go for his evening drink. 'You can come here', said Vassilis, 'I'll give you the keys - but can you come in early on Tuesday because the taxis drivers are having a meeting!' ..... and that's exactly what happened.

Hi Julie and Steve, This is what Vassilis would do. He is a very nice person, so is his wife Mallisa. I don't know what he's going to do, not being able to smoke in our pubs.

This comes as no real surprise, it is typical of the Greek people in general, and the Corfu people in particular, to show trust in other people. It is such a great pity that such trust is often thrown back in their faces by a few unsavory visitors who give us all a bad name. Well done Vassilis..... your Haggis is on order for May!!!!!!!!!!!!!
