We are going to Roda for the first time in 2010 and have booked the Elizabeth Apartments. Does anyone know the cost of air-conditioning and also if rooms have safety deposit boxes and the cost. Thanks a lot. John

Hi John & welcome to the Roda Forum. Shame I didn't read your question earlier as we had a very relaxing lunch by the Elizabeth Pool earlier today. We spent some time with Eleni, Kostas & Olga who will make you very welcome and we bumped into Wally ('fireman') who has been returning to the same complex now for 20 years. I am sure some of our members will know this year's arrangements, but if you don't get a reply then we will be returning soon and we may see Wally at out Forum Get-Together on Wednesday.
Best Wishes, Steve

Hi Gail Thanks for your reply really appreciate it. That's a lot cheaper than we thought. We stayed in Zante earlier this year and the air-con was 70 euros per week, so 140 for the fortnight. Do you know if they in fact have security boxes at Elizabeth? Once again thanks a lot. John

Hi Dave, Sorry can't help you we have never been to Corfu before, let alone Roda. I also found with, First Choice, that Elizabeth was the cheapest. Most people I know that have been to Elizabeth say how nice it is, so fingers crossed for both of us. John

Someone will come back to you John, but the numbers of viewers does fall a little at this time of year. We live nearby, and we think that the pool area is very nice, perfect for families and quite relaxing. I should say that we have never stayed at Elizabeth, but it is in a very good setting. My perception is that is in a marginally lower gear than Theodoros and hopefully somebody will respond soon with their feelings. 'Fireman' has been staying there for twenty years and he's there now. Perhaps Wally will tell you more when he returns.

Hi John and Dave As others have said the rooms do have both air con and safety deposit boxes. And as Steve said we have been going there for 20 years now,you would be quite surprised how many people go back every year. I am sure you will not be dissapointed with the appartments and the welcome you will get from all the family that run them. Dave if I were you I would snap this offer up while you can, We booked in sept before we went for next year, my daughter booked a week later and it had gone up £60.
