Taken from the "Corfu Today", dated 24th September. A new service that could be of good use to get to Corfu in the winter months, or as an alternative, possibly cheaper route. Just as matter of interest, the first flight on Friday 2nd Oct, returning 16th Oct, is €202 (Approx £190). Not sure what the going rate is on air fares from Athnes. Check the link on: ATHENS AIRWAYS IN ENGLISH
October 2 - The airline Áthens Airways in Corfu
The Athens Airways announced the launch of flights to the airport "Ioannis Kapodistrias" of Corfu. The first flight will take place Friday, October 2 and flights will be conducted 3 times a week (Friday-Sunday).

Hopefully a bit of competition will keep prices under control unless the companies all get their heads together. Athens Airways has been growing steadily since its launch (last year?) and it sees a big opportunity flying 50 (ish) seater aircraft to the islands. It's good that it has now added Corfu to that list and, in our experience, even in winter, many of those internal flights are quite full.

It will be worth watching the competition if any, and see what happens with prices Steve. I think Aegean are charging around £60 Corfu to Athens, each way.
