My parents were at the Melinda last year & the family that run them are very nice. I'd say he should be fine. In fact, almost anywhere he stays in Roda, he'll be safe. When are you going over to Roda, linnie?

Hi Linnie - Petra's son, Danny, has justed completed a twelve week stay in Roda. He arrived in May, aged 17 and returned to Holland last week aged 18. He was on a work experience scheme from his college and he was well looked after at Theodoros. Danny was well looked after and quickly became part of the local community. Your son will not have a problem.

We've just got back from 2 weeks in Roda and we stayed @ the Melinda. And it was quite nice too...we were initially a bit dissapointed with our corner box room with little or no storage/cupboard space but we grew into it...and in the end enjoyed it.
The Melinda is well looked after by Giorgios and Adonis who man the bar from 9am till 3am everyday, and the food they provide is very good with the best 'proper' bacon around, the pool is huge but the only downside is the amount of flying things hangin around and I got 3 mozzie bites in 2 hours @ the bar watching a footy game!
But a friendly place with some residents having returned for years to Roda..phew!
