Hi kdm - check out Accuweather on the homepage and you will see that Friday is forecast to be 360C actual - 'feels like' 470C. Hot with sunshine and patchy clouds. Winds from the NNE at 9 km/h.
My guess is that the temperatures are rising but being masked by the stronger winds which keep us cool. On Friday, the wind changes to NNE and drops to 9km/h and the temperature soars.
In anybody's money - it's going to be hot!
Will you be in Roda at the time?

As with all forecasts of extreme weather, things have changed a little. The hottest day is now predicted for tomorrow (Thursday) - 360C actual 'Feels Like' 430C. All down to the wind shifting to the north and lifting to 12km/h.
UV is still 8 - so please take care.

If anyone has checked Accuweather today, we seem to have a new symbol. Friday this week shows a pulsating red thermometer which means sizzling sunshine. Plenty of high factor cream if you are here.

There is a lot of talk about very high temperatures so I'd like to put things into perspective. It is hot and you should take the proper precautions but, the humidity is high (96%) and this adds to the 'Real Feel' temperature. If you check the 'IKERKIRA2' weather station in Arillas, the highest actual temperature this month has been 34.30C. Many of the quoted temperatures are based on the temperatures in Corfu Town which is usually higher, and humidity can add several degrees to what is being quoted. So, I think 42, or 45, or even the 470C we have heard, are all rather unlikely at the moment.
