Hi Petra, it's the same as a car boot sale, or a garage sale - somewhere where people sell odds & ends that they no longer want, hope this helps. pete.

Hi Petra - Steve and I go to some tabletops sales with the painted glass and you could take som of the lovely baby clothes that you make. Really, it is anything you want to sell on a table!

OK , I understand now. we have this in Holland too. In the summerholiday we even have a special children´s sale. On the marketplace in town the children sell all of their toys/ clothes they want to get rid of and they can be a market trader for one day. So they learn as well as they earn a little bit of money with this. Ands the moms are happy because it cleans the bookcase/wardrobe a.s.o. Are there many people coming to such a table top sale ? because there are not many tourists left in november in Roda I think.... In Holland we also have hobbymarkets, I remember telling Julie that last july. Most of the time you have to pay to get in , to see all kind of amateur-"artists" showing their work/hobbies, and you can buy everything they make of course.

Hi Petra
Sunday morning sales in the winter can be very well supported by ex-pats & Greeks alike. There are always lots of books & DVDs which everyone enjoys at that time of year.
Even though there are many people painting & making things themselves, there are only are occasional craft fairs on the Island, but none in Roda - so far. Maybe if you decide to move, we can organise something ourselves.

Yes, now we're talking!!!! I will help you out!!! Can't wait, but something like this (emigrating) takes time... The problem is my husband doesn't know what to do in Roda yet, we are still thinking about it very much, but I think he is very insecure about what he could be doing overthere... He would like to be AOKerkyra's (youth) trainer though.....

Hi Lisa, Thanks for the info, although I was hoping there would be one towards the end of this month as I have had a 'spring clean' before leaving Corfu on 31st Oct for the winter, hence need to hopefully sell on the stuff.

Hi Lisa Sorry to hear Ryan's returned to England, let's hope it's not too long before you see him again. Is there any chance of you visiting England in the winter? Nikki

Hi Petra We have the same problem. As a family we'd love to live in Corfu but my husband is also insecure about how he could support us all (us and three young children). Obviously the language is a bit of a barrier. Maybe one day all of our dreams will come true. Nikki

Have you spoken to AO Kerkyra yet? - their office is in Samara in Corfu Town, right opposite our favourite cafe.
