Having returned from the lovely Kosmas, I am happy to say road noise is not an issue at all, you can hear a bit now and then but truly does not affect you in any way, either day or night, sober or otherwise!! We were in rm 18, ground floor, a lovely spacious two bed appt, large bathroom, plenty of hot water, shower curtain! Very roomy inside dining and seating had we wanted it. Highly recommended if you are a Greek-o file and know what to expect from s/c, and even if you are more used to the sterility of mass tourism hotels/appts feel sure you would be very pleased. The family are most welcoming, helpful and genuine without encroaching on your personal time. Spotlessly clean everywhere and lovely pool and baby pool. Bar food was always excellent and inexpensive as were the drinks. Often wary of 'Greek' nights but the one held at kosmas was excellent and food and dancing were superb. Would definitely return, and for those who prefer a villa they should go and see Villa Poppy, within the grounds with all s/c luxuries for privacy, but near enough to saunter down for lunch and dinner. A lovely return to Roda after 8yrs. Mari

Well John and I have settled back to work and now time to do holiday reports. We had another fantastic 2 weeks at the Kosmas, where we met Blazeboy(Billy), his wife Karen and their friends. There have been some changes. They offer halfboard now. They have also made changes to the bar area and added an internet corner. The family is lovely and friendly as always. We attended the 2 fgts that were on when we were there. It was lovely meeting Julie, Steve, Gaillie 66 and her husband, Gails sister and family, Auntie Jean and friend, Tattoojanet and her family, Kath and Rob?, Dave and Linda, Marg and Stewart, also sorry to anyone I haven't named but were there. We met sthelensaint(John), his wife Jackie and their family in the Harbour Bar. John got his fix at the Elizabeth pool bar. We tried Angel's cakes, it was very late(0030), they were still open although had run out. Kinga and Petra insisted on us staying, they made cakes fresh for us and while were waiting we enjoyed a lovely glass of Rose and their version of garlic bread(even though we had not long finished dinner, it was very moreish). The cake was delicious. We took some home for breakfast, then we went back and bought more. Sorry to all other businesses but we only ate at the Opa(except the night we went to the Greek night at the Kosmas). Loved the cockerel pastitsada, Yiannis is doing single portions now. We also had his new grilled suid. 2 Baby squids, stuffed with tomato, peppers and onions and grilled on the charcoal. Also a must try is his grilled stuffed pork fillet, a little on the expensive but well worth it. I have to agree, George is lovely. We made friends with John in the tee-shirt shop, Corfiot born, USA raised. We hired a car from Dromeas and had a lovely time driving round the island. We went to Erikousa with Helen and George, though I didn't get my Bond trip as sea too rough. We enquired at Nostos about Kefalonia trip, too early in season. We also asked about Meteroa trip, much to John's glee the only trip going is this week. I told him once in a lifetime but not to be. Only complaint. The mozzies in plague proportions this year after late rain. Jungle formula didn't work, plug in room a little, citronella spray recommended by Eleni and Christiane worked in the end. Will we be back? In the hands of the gods and lottery. I want that house in Agarafi, wait and see. Lovely meeting everyone enjoy all your trips to Roda from 1 very jealous person. Bev ;D ;D
