We have stayed at the Kosmas for the last 2 years and are booked there again this year. Our 1st year was at the Aphrodite, which we enjoyed but I love waking up to a cup of tea so went self-catering. The welcome is fantastic, the rooms lovely and not too far to stagger back after a late night dining at the Opa. Cannot wait until we get back.

Adding to holiday review as still new at this. We just adore Roda, we always head for Helen at Roda Hotel and book cruises with Capn George. We always have a trip to Corfu Town on the local bus. Hope they have the late service this year. We hired a car last year and explored the interior of the island. Old Perithia was amazing. Loved Pelekas too. We discovered the new beach road by the horse riding, great for quiet sunbathing and cooling off. I could go on and on. We just love Roda

Have read very good and encouraging reviews of kosmas, then stumbled on one that says it's extremely noisy due to being on the Roda - Sidari main road, to late now as booked, but is it awful? thanks, mari x

Mari, you can't please all of the people, all of the time.
You tend to get people that go on holiday, just to complain about everything. Believe me, I've stayed in the same apartments as people like that, b4.
I don't know these apartments, myself, but I did stay on ones on the main road, years ago & yeah, you will get a bit of traffic noise, but I don't remember it being really bad. Then again, I stay in the flight path for Glasgow Airport, here, so maybe I'm just used to noise at night. lol
Seriously though....I don't think it'll be that big a problem.

Gail & Jackie, thanks, assumed it couldn't be that bad as it was the only mention, and yes, i know exactly the complaining unable to please them type, sadly there's always at least one wherever you go, sad. mari x

Hi jacks - I can better that, I once lived at Colnbrook, just 1 mile from the end of runway 1 at Heathrow. I could often see six at a time coming in and I was on first name terms with the pilots! Concorde had a 30 second afterburn which finished over my house and the dog howled when it took off. Give me the peace & quiet of Eftichia's Apartments anytime! Steve

Hi, Marimiddx20, ok so you will notice some traffic noise at the Kosmas ( we will be returning there the end of June for the 3rd time ) but it`s not bad. the mozzies may give you a harder time at night, but if you have one of those plug in repellent gizzmo things, and some spray or roll on stuff when going out at night they do the job just fine. we stayed at the Afrodite our first year where noise from some late night revellers, rubbish pick up trucks and the bus teminus in the mornings was a problem . Anyway Christos, George, Effie, ...George`s daughter, Poppie...Mum, also Christiana ... cleaner, are most helpfull and friendly, in fact all the family are. My wife posted a few positive reports on websites. The ones from Sheffield. YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR STAY.

Exactly, Mari. Why do these people go on holiday & try to make everyone else as miserable as themselves.
OUCH! Noisy, Steve. I feel as though I know some of the pilots too. Sure they can see in our windows as they pass! lol I remember the couple of times that Concorde actually landed in Glasgow & it was the most amazing thing ever.

We have also stayed at the Kosmas, we stayed in the ground floor apartment on the corner, so we were nearer the road to most people, and I can honestly say we heard no traffic noise, just a very pleasant setting.
Enjoy yourselves.
