Great review, Treece, Roda is certainly the domain of the independent traveller!! Easy transfer, good people, helpful businesses, fantastic traditional food, accommodation choices to suit all pockets, complete flexibility and the best village website in Greece with the most supportive & enthusiastic members. Whatever you want from a holiday, Roda has it.

This site should never be underated Steve, I believe that the service this site gives not just to us Roda lovers but to people thinking of holidaying to the Greek Islands let alone Corfu or Roda is exceptional. As I say to people, holiday companies can advertise all they want, the best advertisment is happy holidaymakers giving honest reviews and here we are!

Now this really shows how much I rate Pipitsa's apartments, my friend Ruth who is also a work colleague will be visiting Corfu for the first time, she is staying with Pipitsa who has managed to fit her in understanding that she has not been abroad for many years. Pipitsa has been lovely and helpful, Ruth will be there for a week at end of August. Ruth chose Roda because I have gone on so much about Pipitsa's accommodation and the lovely people of Roda that she is coming to see for herself. Thank you Pipitsa, Ruth is really excited and I am sure will be joining this forum as soon as she has an email address (that she can get to work!).

There are lots of typical basic greek appartments in corfu but none like Pipitsa's. She has worked so hard to make her accomodation the best, the most luxurious and most well equiped. Pipitsa has furnished her appartments to make your stay as comfortable as possible so to say it was like India is very rude. I will be back in Roda at the end of August and once again be staying with Pipitsa and can't wait. Pipitsa herself makes your holiday by all the care she gives to make your stay memorable. These appartments are definitley the difference between typical and luxury.

Well I've just got back from a weekend in Southampton where my lovely stepdaughter Gemma got married to Glenn who proposed to her in Roda a couple of years ago. It was a brilliant day and they both looked lovely. They'll be arriving at Pipitsas tomorrow evening for their honeymoon and I'm sure they'll get thoroughly spoilt by her.

Hi folks, reading all the entries here -to be honest- there is a lot of repetition in it. Since 1993 I'm coming to Roda and, yes: Pipitsa's appartments are simply the best, as Birgit and I could reassure during the last 3 weeks again. She is inventing herself every year newly and only people from Bangladesh ;D (Bob, Boby, Flo and Lau, you know what I mean) can title it as "Indian" style. In deed the impressions in and around the house are not Roda-like (as this would mean pure beton and installations like lottery - you never know what you get). In fact - for those, who never came out of a village: Her appartments are dominated by Venetian style (I know what I'm talking of, having been to Venice more than 60(!) times). Nevertheless there are some actual items to mention: In all these hundreds of entries I never found any comment about money. Just imagine: All these -every year- new inputs, up to 3(!) Sat-TV in one appartment, and and and (plus several personal invitations)... cost a lot of Euros, and there is only a short season to get some back. [glow=red,2,300]So -from a sales point of view- there would be a lot of much more profitable businesses for her to have[/glow]. Pipitsa does this, because she loves "her" guests, likes to improve every day and transfers her own high standard with heart and passion to others. What can she expect for this high personal and monetary investment?Shortly said: Respect ! (Is this maybe too much?). If you come to Pipitsas, you won't find anything better in all the region, so please tell her and behave like this. Some examples: - All rooms have air-condition and she gives it to you included. But is there a need to keep it running the whole day? Only the electricity of one aircon per day is 5,-€! Please behave reasonable with that. The machines are not buildt for that and just 2 weeks ago one (only one year old) broke after a 1 week-nonstop-use. So the money of 2 weeks' appartment was gone.
- Some people call for reservation, but at the end they come later, reduce their stay or even don't pay. In any "normal" hotel, you would have to pay full amount ahead of your stay.
- Roda is peaceful, but also the best have enemies (remember Ghandi). Last week any bad guy threw Sulfuracid (from a battery) over her husband's car, she parked nearby. You cannot believe it, but it's true.
So what I tried to say: Pipitsa gives a lot lot lot to others, let's all stay together and help/support her, to keep this up.Nowadays especially the good things are seen as natural, but they definitely aren't. As there are snakes in paradise: Support the angels!Hope to see you soon (or latest next year), Stefan.

Hi just returned from 2 fantastic weeks again staying in these fantastic apartments, didn't think Pipitsa could improve them anymore than she had on last year but do not under estimate this fantastic lady. Pipitsa is a pleasure to be around and nothing is too much trouble for her to ensure you have a very welcome and relaxing stay. Already booked with her for 2010. Good to see old friends again at Harbour Bar, Crusoes, and especially Kostas and Voulla at Roda Park.

Just come back from Roda and stayed for 3 weeks at Pipitsa's appartment...and u can not do any better...I just needed my suitcase... U are at home, washing machine so u do not have to worry about carrying lots of clothes, hair dryer, iron, TV, satellite, DVD player, proper kitchen, and beautifully sun loungers to enjoy the sun when Ur back from the beach...the furnitures are beautifull... and the cleaner passes everyday. I felt like a little princess in these stunning apartments...Pipitsa made me visit all of them, I was just so impressed how cleaned and amazing they are... Home away from home in Roda. I can advise these appartments, i stay there each year and i have never had any complaint... Pipitsa is a fantastic landlady, u can ask her whatever u want she will be there to try to help you and make u feel like one of the family. For any information do not hesitate to contact Piptsa, anytime in the year, her apartment are also available during the year. The best value for money, i have ever found in our favorite village... For your future holidays, give a ring to Pipitsa and she will make sure to offer you the very best apartments, just five minutes away from all amenities and and the beach, what else can you ask...
