Anyone seen that programe on BBC 1 Rogue Traders the other night about a meet and greet service down at one of the London airports about what happens to your car after you have handed over the keys to your car Well iv'e booked a meet and greet at Manchester Airport in May when we come over to Roda.Iv'e already payed and i'm going to have a good look at the fine print on the reciept they sent us. Will have to make sure to check the mileage(to make sure the car goes to where its supposed to go). And i think i'll E-Mail them to voice my concerns about that Television programe hoping that they saw the programe and that they don't do the same

I used one of the off site parks at Manchester the other year, all you had to do was to drive up to the office & hand your keys over. On your return you are given a slip of paper with the location of your car. Mine was approximately 100 yards from where i left it, didn't check the mileage, but the radio was on a different station , the air-con was on full heat (in june!) and the passenger seat had been moved. Didn't realise any of these things till we were on our way home, needless to say i won't be using them again. For info the name of the park was Premier Park. pete.

Pete, a lot of those car parks have additional parking elsewhere, so although your car was near to where you left it, it could have been transported to one of these (with a passenger so as to bring back 2 cars) & then returned for you to pick up. I've always used APH mainly because I get a discount through CORGI, although that may change this year because from April they will no longer be in charge of gas registration so I wont be a member any more. Mind you getting to Roda this year depends on business picking up, at this rate it might just be a ferry ride over to New Brighton for the day.

I have used APH at Copthorne on a number of occasions. First time I was slightly jubious having heard stories of other car parks, so I took a mileage count, and it was the same on return. 24 hour on site security, with CCTV. Cars are periodically checked for starting. Bus to the airport, and bus waiting at Gatwick. One time our flight was late due to an idiot at Majorca causing problems. We arrived at Gatwick, no bus, but with a free phone call, we had a car to pick us up within 20 minutes. Will use them again when the time comes.
