Steve, Julie the view is to die for (I hope this expression is ok), anyway I am dying to see this view again this summer. Where did you take this photograph?, because you always fool me with your lenses...

I would take lots of photos from this spot if I could, Petra, but the road is too steep for our old camper and you need to be there on a day when there's a maistro blowing and the air is really clear. Between Lafki and Strinilas there is a lay-by with a barrier where you can look right down on Roda between the hills. This photo was taken on our old Konica Minolta with a 10X optical zoom.
There is another spot I found just before we left where I think a great shot of the village can be taken. It is within walking distance of the village and when we return, at the first opportunity, I'll see what I can do.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with Northumberland, we have some of the best scenery and beaches in the country - but keep it quiet as we dont want to be over-run with tourists! Its even better for the 1 week a year that we see some sun! But you still see the lasses out in town with their gownless evening straps on even in this cold weather.

DaveLinda, oh my god yes the men in vests (especially the ones that look pregnant!)
Jools, I will show my age when I say that when I used to go 'clubbing' when I was a bairn we used to wear coats and put them in the cloakroom and handed our 'ticket' in to get them back at the end of the night. You should be able to guess my age from this confession!
Hopefully no coats in June either!
Regards, Kath

That's still what happens in nightclubs - putting them into the cloackrooms & getting a ticket, so you can get them back at the end of the night.

Jacks - its been a long, long time since I was in a nightclub but when I tell my daughter off for not wearing a coat/jacket when going 'clubbing' she says there is nowhere to put them once inside! Maybe its a 'Newcastle' thing?
Regards, Kath.
