Hi Jackie - Don't spend on a wedding, it's only one day! Your needs, a house & holiday are far more important. Julie & I paid for our own wedding, it cost very little, we had two friends and their children, a cake from Tesco, a bottle of cava and a holiday in Corfu - the best decision I have ever made! ;D
Best Wishes Steve

We are not pushing the boat out, we both agreed on that, but I insisted that we have a reasonable day as in particular Elaine's first marriage was somewhat slap hazard by her ex. He forgot the witnesses, no family, just them and two strangers. My previous marriage was an overspend by very much.
We have decided on the New Registrar Chambers in the Town Hall, Registrar, and a Reception, all running together. Will probably cost about £1000 - £1200, however, my sisters are arguing with me to do the catering, which will save a considerable bit ( ;D).
We have our house, and all to go with it which we have put together in the 10 years we have lived together. She is worth every penny anyway.
Yeiamas, Chris

Firstly apologies for not adding to this sooner, but what with many things happening, such as the planning, organisation etc, and the fact that for the first 4 months of the year I was off my feet. However, the day has arrived, tomorrow I shall be walking my Elaine down the aisle so to speake to our wedding. We have changed a few things around which confused some, and baffled others, but we did not want a standard wedding.
Everyone will be at the Town Hall waiting for us. On this occasion the Bridesmaids, my two neices, and my nephew who will be my Page, and also my Best Man (Elliott is only 9, but a performer) will go in before us. At 2.30 Elaine and myself will enter the chambers to the music of Welcome to my World by Jim Reeves. The service will be conducted whilst seated, except for certain parts. This is because, funnily enough not for me, but for 4 guests who have MS. The signing of the register will be done whilst Lost In Space by the Light house family, and Groovy kind of love by Phil Collins play, then the ceremony finishes with Elaine and I walking out to We have all the time in the world by Louis Armstrong.
The doors will close, everyone will congregate in the chambers and we will walk back in for a huge photo, then outside for more. This is followed by a reception at the local British Legion. We have Sunday off, then a ferry to France on the Monday. We will grap that drink and FGT on our next visit.
There you have it. A bit shaky as one would be, but looking forward to it. Will pop up some photos when ready.
Yeiamas, Chris

Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. We had a great day as was expected with glorious sunshine and blue skies. The Ceremony was perfect, as was the afternoon/evening reception. Everyone had a wonderful time. Now we are somewhat shattered, but now ready for the off tomorrow to France, a 6am departure.
Have got some wonderful photographs of our day, which I have placed a few to look at on this post. Once the album is completed I will post up some more, and get a link shown.
