Good morning from Sfakera, a still cool morning of good visibility including that of Albania but there is full but high cloud cover that the sun has yet to break through. The sea looks calmer and it is 10.3c at 9am.
Yesterday the clouds slowly cleared to give us a sunny day, windy but not as strong as forecast. A bank of clouds were in the distant west so the sun slipped away without much of a sunset. The stars were shining brightly and the temperature was falling. There was hardly a hint of cloud at 10pm but the rolled in during the night.
The maximum temperature was 17.3c, the minimum was 12.3c.

Good morning from Sfakera, a near perfect start. Clear, still, fresh, almost cloudless, calm blue sea, the sun up (wondrful shining on Albanian snow capped peaks, only just arriving here). 9.2c at 8.30am. All set fair for a days work in the garden, getting seeds sown under cloche, strimming.
Yesterday the high clouds were always about but as in thin layers like strips of fat on piece of streaky bacon, so was the sun shining through. Very pleasant, a breeze came in the afternoon but was very light. The sunset was nothing special due to the layers of cloud. Some stars could be seen early but more appeared the later it got as the clouds began to disperse.
The maximum temperature was 16.9c, the minimum was 9.5c.

Good morning from Sfakera. Early the sky was blue with few white fluffy clouds and clear over Albania. However a bank of high thin gray clouds have come in from the West and hidden the early morning sunshine. The sea is calm, as is the air. It was 9.2c at 8am.
Yesterday was a lovely day though the amout of passing clouds did increase as the day went bye. The sunny periods were barely interrupted by them and even pottering in the garden a t-shirt and jeans was enough. The sea looked calm and blue. Many people out and about enjoying the sun, others starting the prepare their gardens and apartments for the coming season. Following sunset the clouds began to disperse leaving a lovely starlit night.
The maximum temperature was 18.8c, the minimum was 8.6.

Good morning from Sfakera, it is a cloudy start, mostly high clouds but much thicker ones cover the upper slopes and peaks of Albania, the sea is calm but looks grey, a very light breeze and a few spots of rain at 9.30, when it was a nice 15.3c.
Yesterday the layer of clouds quickly passed giving a lovely blue sky and sunshine, white fluffy clouds did come from midday but rarely blocked the sùn. It was a glorious day, i was gardening but also sat outside for lunch as it was so warm and nice. The was only the hint of a breeze most of the day. After sunset we had a starlit sky but as midnight approached so clouds began to return.
The maximum temperature was 20.5c, the minimum was 8.6c.

Good morning from Sfakera where it is raining, a shower long in the coming as there was lightening over Albania from 9pm last night and there are weather warning of thunderstorms that includes the Ionions. Earlier it was totally grey, a very light breeze and a mild 14.1c at 8am. The sea and sjy are merged together aslight grey through the rains, Albania is hidden.
Yesterday was odd it that it was nice and warm even though there was little sun. A few 5 minute showers in the morning, they were in fact more spots than showers. After midday it cleared and brightened and occasionally the sun came through. The breeze became a light wind and as the afternoon progressed so the wind gusted stronger, the wind however was warm. It was pleasant outside gardening but it wasn't for sitting out unless in shelter. As nightfall approached so very storm like clouds appeared over Albania and by 9pm there was lightening in the distance, the surprise being we had no rain at all overnight.
The maximum temperature was 21.2c, the minimum was 11.0c.

Dogs are fine, enjoying running around garden in the sunshine. Thanks. Ground here drying out well after February rains.
Good morning from Sfakera where it is a still, clear sunny start and 12.8c at 9am. Hardly a cloud to be seen, nice blue sky and deeper blue sea.
Yesterday the shower was very short but follwed by just spots before another short shower, just 6 or so minutes. This cleared slowly and the sun finally came out to give us a nice afternoon. A light wind accompanied the clearing sky and got stiffer until it all but disappeared around 4pm. The sun soon opens up the wild flowers that now flood the fields, roadsides. Mainly whites and yellows but the purples are starting to come out as well as they always seem to do as Easter approaches. The sea looked calm. The sunset was a nice yellow and the night was starlit, seemed chilly but wasn't really as i only had a hoodie on.
The maximum temperature was 19.5c, the minimum was 13.8c.

Good morning from Sfakera where it is an almost identical start to yesterday, just a bit cooler being 11.9c at 9am. The sun highlighting the still snowy peaks of Albania.
Yesterday morning clouds slowly moved in, large gret fluffy ones over our peaks blocking the sun for long periods. As midday came so a light wind picked up and the clouds soon departed leaving us a lovely sunny afternoon, a lovely bright yellow sunset. It was a clear starlit night.
The maximum temperature was 19.3c, the minimum was 11.9c.

Good afternoon from Sfakera, late today as there was little signal on the wifi this morning. Woken early by winds blowing in clouds, this became a light shower around 6.30am for an hour. The wind was light, the cloud cover full.
Yesterday it again clouded over during the morning mainly over the hills behind but that was enough to block the sun apart from the odd glimpse. Finally around 4pm the clouds dispersed to let the sun shine and it was then continuous up to a clear bright yellow sunset. After nightfall we had a starlit evening and early night, always there was a light wind blowing.
The maximum temperature was 19.0c, the minimum was 9.9c.

Good morning from Sfakera where it is very windy but warm. Winds are B6-8 today from south and at 8am it is 18.6c! Albania is a dark siloette, the sea has whitetops but i doubt any waves as wind from inland. The bamboos opposite my house are bowing in exaggerated style, rustling as they bump into each other or the wind whistles through them.
Yesterday it never really cleared after the rains stopped. A full cloudy day with the odd hint of sun. The southerly wind picked up during late morning and by afternoon was B5-7, the gùsts blowing things around the garden and me constantly checking my cloche was secure. It stayed this way all day, evening and into the night.
Maximum was 16.6c, minimum was 11.8c.

Good morning from Sfakera where the early morning showers have cleared to leave a lovely almost cloudless pale blue sky with the sun shining, 15.1c at 9.30am. The sea still some whitetops in the light breeze, Albania and its still snow capped peaks is much clearer than of late.
Yesterday the winds got even stronger in gusts than the B6-8 forecast, apparently B10 was recorded in Avliotes. The winds were warm, the cloud cover continuous with the odd hint of sun trying to break through. The sea was calm at the beach due to winds from South but out in the channel the whitetops were large, a tanker was anchored awaiting a lull in the winds. As night fell so the winds began to ease but there were still strong gusts occasionally until nearly 11pm before they too stopped.
A couple days ago i saw a house martin that must have arrived early due to the strong winds, maybe now it has eased the rest will follow along with the swallows.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 20.9c, the minimum was 17.5c.

Good morning from a very wet Sfakera, it has been raining almost continuously since the early hours, often heavy. There is a light wind as well but it was a mild 14.6c at 9am. Visability is poor, from here i cannot see Albania, the sea and can only just see a siloette of Karousades hill.
Yesterday large fluffy white clouds rolled in giving sunny intervals and a light wind. It was however very nice out if sheltered from the wind. By 4pm the clouds had won and the sun vanished so there was no sunset. It remained cloudy for the rest of the day, evening and night.
The maximum temperature was 19.2c, the minimum was 14.1c.

Good morning from Sfakera where there is chill in the air. In the early hours there was a thunderstorm, the 1st claps so loud the house rattled and i woke. The storm was very heavy and included a period of hailstones. As dawn broke so the final clouds of this front are moving towards Albania which is still hidden. The sun is up over Agros and the calm blue sea and soon be with me. Its a light greeze and 10.3c at 7.30am.
Yesterday the rains continued, almost non stop until 1pm, at times very heavy. During this time the temperature continued to fall. It cleared with hint of sun but at 3pm started to rain again, this time just light for half an hour or so. After 4pm clesrrd and we had some sunshine but brfore sunset the clouds started to roll in again and my 10.30pm the distant sound of thunder could be heard.
The maximum temperature was 16.2c, the minimum was 12.8c

Good morning from Sfakera where it feels like the 'beast of the Mediterranean' is upon us. Weather maps have purples, indigoes and violets as well as blues, grey and white for snow.
This morning we had a thunderstorm in the early hours and more or kess continuous rains since, often very heavy. The sky dark and menacing, visability during rains down to 250 metres at times! A F4 wind accompanied ythe rains and keeps the weather front moving. Now at 8am there is a lull, still windy, and i can see a grey sea, surprisingly calm (winds from West today) but no sign of Albania. It is 13.3c.
Yesterday bringing the official start to spring was an ok day, it brightened and there was plenty of morning sun. Grey clouds built up over Pantocrator range inckuding our lower hills and thus spread as day progressed to give full cloud cover by mid afternoon. It stayed pleasant if outside my washing and towels after mopping up all done and dried. At around 8.30pm there was the sound of distant thunder and a light, short shower.
The maximum temperature was 16.6c, the minimum was 9.8c.

Good morning from Sfakera, where it is a grey start to the day. A dry night, hardly a hint of breeze, a grey calm sea and Albania again invisible. 10.9c at 7.30am. No sign of any early sunshine.
Yesterday we had a few short light showers in the morning before it began to brighten and clear. The sun began to breakthrough and some blue sky was visable. The afternoon saw an extended sunny period but the clouds were always there. As night fell so the crescent shaped moon and some stars came into sight, the moon bright enough to give a slight shadow as i walked through the village that was dark due to the street lights being out.
The maximum temperature was 17.1c, the minimum was 12.2c.
