Good morning from Roda. It was a chilly start to the day with the first snows of the winter on the peaks of the Albanian mountains opposite us. The humidity levels are low giving us a clear view of the dark mountain range topped with snow. They seem really close today. The sea looked cold and uninviting but only slightly ruffled as an Anek ferry sailed eastward, closer to us than usual. There is a bit of a breeze and we have had one or two sunny spells even lighting up the snowy peaks across the way. Yesterday the day got off to a drizzly start that petered out to give us a cool grey middle of the day. There was even one or two blue patches, mostly giving sunshine over Albania and not us. We had some very heavy rain showers in the early evening, but they too mostly died away. Altogether a much cooler day that was so different from the warm sunny days only a few days ago when we were swimming. Mind you on Friday we did see two Greek women in the sea towards Acharavi just standing in the water, shoulder deep having a long talk.! Too cold to do that for me.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Saturday 17th November 2018 was 14.0°C, real feel 12°C, and the humidity 60% giving a dew point of 6°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 16.9°C and the minimum 14.7°C. A very wet and windy with thunder later.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 14.7°C (real feel 10°C), and the minimum was 11.3°C , a dew point of 11°C. The maximum humidity was 78% and the minimum 64%.
The reported UV for today is low at 0/1 ( Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around the summer solstice). Good afternoon from Roda. Lazy morning today as the horrible weather outside did nothing to motivate us to move. So we have steady and persistent, rain quite a breeze and the clouds and murk well down the hillsides. I expect Loutses and anything higher will be in the clouds. Albania has disappeared from the horizon across a very grey quite rough looking sea with white horses showing from time to time. The humidity increased after midnight with the temperature falling from 14°C to the 10°C we have had since getting up.
Yesterday actually too bad a day. It stayed very clear all day with amazing views of Albania, so picturesque in shades of deep grey with a topping of pristine newly laid snow at the higher levels. Though it was mostly cloudy there were a few sunny spells when I managed to get a little washing out and dried. At this time of year you have to be opportunistic. The heavy cloud returned by evening and we had some drizzle from around 9pm. The sea was starting to increase with multiple waves coming ashore from a few metres out. The air was so clear that there were so many lights on Albania that I had not seen before. It was fairly mild despite the low humidity and still 14°C as we went to bed.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Sunday 18th November 2018 was 10.8°C, real feel 8°C, and the humidity 81% giving a dew point of 8°C. The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 16.8°C and the minimum 14.6°C. A day of periods of rain, windy and low clouds down the valleys.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 16.3°C (real feel 15°C), and the minimum was 11.1°C , a dew point of 11°C. The maximum humidity was 59% and the minimum 53%.

Good morning from Roda. The chilly cloudy weather continues as we have skipped autumn and gone straight to winter without passing go or even picking up the £200. It seems mad that only a few days ago we were on the beach and swimming, now I am in need of thermal underwear. OK not quite but you get the drift. We have a bright but cloudy day with a very occasional glimpse of the sun. The hillsides behind us have a layer of smoke spreading part way up their flanks, amid a general haze. Whereas Albania is quite clear with its snow topped peaks. The sea between is flat calm and metallic looking, but I can hear waves coming ashore. We have no wind to add anymore of a chill to the air.
Yesterday was very wet and windy. We got so much that we were paddling along the path at The Boathouse and the car park had turned into a mini lake with the tree marooned on its little raised bed. The strong winds whipped up the seas and the open sided ferries to the mainland were cancelled. the rain and wind did seem to ease well into the evening. The temperature just hovered around 10.3°C all day after the maximum at midnight, it was starting to rise again in the late evening.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Monday 19th November 2018 was 12.0°C, real feel 13°C, and the humidity 95% giving a dew point of 11°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 16.6°C and the minimum 14.1°C. A mostly sunny but very windy day, feeling cold and with rough seas.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 14.3°C (real feel 14°C), and the minimum was 9.9°C , a dew point of 9°C. The maximum humidity was 96% and the minimum 54%.

Good afternoon from Roda. I have a bit of a cold courtesy of Steve who has suffered quite badly with it. It goes with the weather we are having now. Today dawned much warmer than yesterday, but with a heavy grey cloud cover and an Albania you had to use your imagination to see. There was quite a wind rattling the shutters. The dark clouds were well down the hillsides behind us. The only good thing was that it was quite mild, much warmer than the last couple of days.
Yesterday was a mostly grey day, but we did see one or two patches of sun now and then. It was a very clear chilly day with Albania, and its snowy peaks, reasonably visible. The sea looked calm but we could hear waves hitting the shore. There was a shower in the early afternoon and the wind, which had been gentle, significantly increased and the sea got very choppy as a result. The clouds cleared a bit to give us a couple of blue patches before it got dark. The rain started mid-evening, but the sky had been fairly clear before that. The temperature increased as the day wore on and reached a maximum of 16°C by midnight.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Tuesday 20th November 2018 was 18.3°C, real feel 18°C, and the humidity 83% giving a dew point of 15°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 15.1°C and the minimum 12.7°C. An overnight thunderstorm with wind and rain in the morning clearing completely to allow amazing views of Albania.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 16.3°C (real feel 14°C), and the minimum was 8.1°C , a dew point of 14°C. The maximum humidity was 98% and the minimum 84%.

Good morning from Roda. We had a big thunder and lightning storm starting just after midnight. I'm afraid I slept through all but the first bangs and flashes. There was a pretty dawn with pink flushed clouds in a lightening sky, but the clouds soon returned with a very heavy shower. Albania has been hidden behind a curtain of grey across a similar coloured sea. Behind us I watched heavy clouds fill the lower valleys behind us before retreating back to where there belong. The clouds are clearing to the north and east much quicker than they are to the south and west. The sun is however making a valiant attempt to shine through the clouds which are breaking up. It is quite mild with the temperature in the mid-teens and no real wind.
Yesterday, though not the best, was a lot better than the one forecast. Yes we had very strong winds, and some very heavy showers. But the 100% heavy rain and thunder storms didn't really materialise. There were some very good long dry spells, and it was warm with the maximum temperature almost touching 21°C. The sea got rough especially in the channel dividing us from the mainland and the open sided ferried were cancelled for the second time in recent days. The general visibility was very poor with Albania and our hills being hidden behind heavy clouds and, at times, rain.. It was a very mild evening with the temperature at 19°C at midnight.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Wednesday 21st November 2018 was 14.8°C, real feel 15°C, and the humidity 89% giving a dew point of 13°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 14.3°C and the minimum 7.9°C. A lovely clear sunny day with thin high cloud with a gentle breeze.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 20.6°C (real feel 21°C), and the minimum was 16.2°C , a dew point of 16°C. The maximum humidity was 89% and the minimum 71%.

Good morning from Roda. We had a bit of a cloudy start to the day, but they are quickly disappearing to manageable limits and the sun is taking over. We enjoyed a late breakfast on the balcony baking in the hot sunshine. There is a gentle breeze and we do have a degree of haze such that although Albania can be seen across the channel it isn't that clear. The sea has calmed down since last night and looks fairly calm. These pleasant warm sunny days help when the weather is less than kind.
Yesterday after the stormy start steadily improved after a minor setback of the heavy rain shower we had in the morning. With a final lowering of the clouds and a darkening of the sky they returned to where they belong and started to break up to give us blue skies for the most part in the afternoon. Some parts of Corfu even had cloudless skies. Here we were left with enough to give a stunning sunset with the whole of the west half of the sky lit up with oranges, golds, and reds all fading to pink as the sun finally disappeared. We had an almost full moon shining in a still partially cloudy sky. The stronger village lights of Albania and our bay were added to be a ferry lit up like a Christmas tree gliding up the channel.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Thursday 22nd November 2018 was 17.3°C, real feel 17°C, and the humidity 77% giving a dew point of 13°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 14.2°C and the minimum 6.1°C. A lovely mostly clear sunny day with a gentle breeze and some haze.

Good morning from Roda. We have a beautiful clear and sunny morning here. The sky is a deep blue with literally one or two very white clouds busy being very pretty. We have lovely clear views of Albania and our hills, despite smoke trying to spoil it. There is barely a breeze and the heat on the south balcony has chased me indoors. It is still a bit cool in the shade, but it is nearly the end of November. The sea looks calm but I can hear some small waves coming ashore.
Yesterday was a lovely sunny and quite warm day, especially in the sun. We had quite a few clouds around but they never really got in the way of the sun. The sea did get a bit ruffled with waves, though still small, were coming ashore. The wind didn't get to be more than a breeze. The sunset must have been ordinary as it didn't drag me out of the house to stand and stare. We had quite a mild evening with a full moon playing dodge with the clouds and stars making the most of any breaks. There was barely a breeze with small waves coming ashore. The lights of Albania were in evidence to join the depleted number around our bay. The ever hopeful cicadas are still chirping away around the village.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Friday 23rd November 2018 was 14.1°C, real feel 16°C, and the humidity 84% giving a dew point of 12°C.

Good morning from Roda. The good weather is still with us, but there are signs that it is all about to change. Yes the sun is out, there is barely a breeze, the sea is only slightly ruffled and there isn't too much haze. However we do have a lot more clouds around than yesterday which are the forerunners of the rain we are due later on tonight and for the next few days. Steve is in the garden doing a few jobs before that rain gets here. Breakfast will be on the balcony as it may be last one for a while, and the doors and windows are all open to let in the sun's warmth. The washing line is full of spare pillows and covers getting an air good before being put back into storage.
Yesterday was glorious we had sunshine all day, with barely a breeze to chill the air. In fact in the sun it was very hot indeed. It was such a clear day you felt that you could count every tree behind us on the hillsides, everything was in such relief. There were very few fires to spoil the effect. A few thin clouds did gather to add interest to the sunset, and having done their job went away again. We had a huge yellow full moon shedding its golden glow over the sea towards us as we reached the end of our lane by Nino's. We just stood for a while to enjoy the spectacle. The night stayed almost cloud free. with just a few very long streaky ones adding to the overall effect. The haze stayed away mostly so we got a good show of lights from Albania, added to by the light closer to home glinting on the tiny waves coming ashore. However it was a cold night and I was beginning to think I will soon need gloves for our walk back from the village.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Saturday 24th November 2018 was 15.0°C, real feel 16°C, and the humidity 83% giving a dew point of 12°C.

Good morning from Roda. It wasn't raining when we got up, but the clouds descended the hillsides, Albania was already a lost cause across the channel, the wind got up and the heavens opened. It was the heavy, lashing down. soaking wet in 30 seconds if caught outside sort of rain. More the kind that gardeners love. A steady but gentle rain. It stop, and the sun came out long enough for Steve to make a quick dash into the garden to tie up sticks before the stronger winds, that are due, arrive. As I write this it has started raining again. The sea has got quite choppy with white horses that looked so pretty in that brief period of sun. It still feels quite mild which is a good thing.
Yesterday started off lovely despite quite a few clouds loitering around. More of their friends arrived and we had almost a complete covering by sunset. The air stayed quite clear with lovely views towards Albania. The sea was like a mill pond in the absence of any wind and stayed that way for the rest of the day. The sunset was a symphony in shades of gold, lemon and greys. There was a moment when the full moon found a gap in the clouds and spread its light over the sea turning it into burnished silver. It stayed mild because of the cloud cover and was still 15°C at 11pm.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Sunday 25th November 2018 was 15.9°C, real feel 15°C, and the humidity 82% giving a dew point of 12°C.

Good morning from Roda. We had the trailing edge of last nights' thunder storm lasting into the small hours with plenty of lightning and rain. We got up to heavy skies and another heavy shower of rain. Albania is present as a solid block of colour on the other side of a ruffled sea, and I can hear waves hitting the shore. We still have heavy clouds with some clear patches giving us increasingly longer patches of warm sunshine. The wind is gentle and the temperature a very mild 18°C, so it was pleasant eating breakfast on the balcony.
Yesterday wasn't quite as wet and stormy as forecast. For most of the day we had spells of rain showers with quite long periods of dry even bright sunshine. However by early evening the wind seriously built up and the heavy rain settled in. This then settled into the full blown thunderstorm with the skies being lit up with lightning. The temperatures held up with it being 17°C at 11pm.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Monday 26th November 2018 was 18.0°C, real feel 18°C, and the humidity 87% giving a dew point of 16°C.

Good morning from Roda. The wet weather continues, as we had rain when we got up. It did fair up with heavy clouds prevailing but with some gaps that let the sun through from time to time. If you stand on the balcony in the dry spells you can actually hear the earth draining. Albania was just about visible at times with a collar of low lying clouds along the flanks of the mountains. The sea looks quite ruffled, but we do have quite a stiff breeze at times encouraging it. However it is quite mild with the temperature in the high teens, not bad for the end of November. As I write we have just had another heavy shower, it might put paid to our proposed walk into Acharavi as more rain and even another thunder storm are forecast. Despite the rain we have the sheltered back door open to enjoy the mild weather and the sun when it is out.
Yesterday was wet, there are no two about it. However it was mild and there was barley a breath of wind. The morning was mostly dry but it got increasing wet as the day progressed to give us nonstop drizzle. We had a tiny lightning storm in the very late afternoon with another heavy shower. It id ease of and we managed to get in and out of the village in the evening relatively dry. The mild weather remained with it still 17°C at 11pm.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Tuesday 27th November 2018 was 17.5°C, real feel 17°C, and the humidity 86% giving a dew point of 16°C. The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 14.8°C and the minimum 12.9°C. A day of showers, heavy at time, with sunny spells, feeling cool.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 19.4°C (real feel 19°C), and the minimum was 16.7°C , a dew point of 15°C. The maximum humidity was 88% and the minimum 74%.

Good morning from Roda. We have a morning of light rain showers, with clouds half way down the mountainsides and barely a glimpse of blue. Albania is just about there across the channel but it is mostly hidden by these low clouds. The sea looks calm but waves gather as they reach the shore. There is barely a breeze, but it does feel chilly as the temperature is a few degrees cooler than yesterday.
We had a mixed day yesterday with heavy clouds long periods of rain, some quite heavy, but there were times when the rain wasn't doing its thing and we had some dry spells and even the occasional sunny one. It felt mild despite the breeze. Sometimes the clouds and heavy rain really limited how far you could see with Albania going absent for long spells. We had a peach coloured sunset with just enough gaps in the clouds to allow some colour to show followed eventually by quite a clear sky with lots of stars and the lights from Albania shining bright. The wind had dropped and the sea looked calm except for long rollers appearing once the sea hit the shore. Despite us having clear skies we were seeing quite a dramatic lightning show across on the mainland. The temperature was dropping as the air cleared giving us the coldest temperature us the day in the late evening, just as the thunder was starting as the storm moved a bit this way.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Wednesday 28th November 2018 was 14.1°C, real feel 13°C, and the humidity 84% giving a dew point of 12°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 12.7°C and the minimum 9.5°C. A cold but sunny day.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 19.0°C (real feel 17°C), and the minimum was 14.0°C , a dew point of 15°C. The maximum humidity was 86% and the minimum 73%.

Good morning from Roda. What a morning we have today. The air is sparklingly clear, now that the morning haze that filled the valleys has burnt off. On our trip to town this morning, with the final flushes of pink fading from the sky, we were treated to some amazing views from Trompeta of the three Diapontian islands sailing in a sea of bright sky blue/ turquoise. Such a colour I haven't seen before. it reminded me of that lovely intense mid- blue you get on enamelled jewellery. The Albanian mountains seemed so close and you could see the roads winding up the valleys and the fresh snow covering on the highest peaks. Looking towards Corfu town the mainland mountains behind were a symphony in shades of deep smoky blue. It was chilly in the shade due to the lower temperature and humidity, but in the sun the cardigan soon came off. A beautiful day and a reminder how good it is to be alive.
Yesterday started off quite damp, but the rain and drizzle did ease up and eventually stop to give us a mostly cloudy afternoon. We even managed to get a few short lived sunny interval later on, but it stayed on the cool side. There were some light breezes which were whipping the sea up with sea weed carrying waves landing across the road by the Coral and almost reaching the walls of the Makris Apartments by The Boathouse. We had to be quick going through there otherwise a wave might have got us. The sunset was nothing to write home about, but the evening was much better with plenty of stars and lights from the Albanian villages.
The temperature at 11.00 am on Thursday 29th November 2018 was 14.0°C, real feel 10°C, and the humidity 65% giving a dew point of 7°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 13.8°C and the minimum 5.7°C. A cool day of sunshine and clouds with a spot of rain later on.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 15.8°C (real feel 12°C), and the minimum was 11.6°C , a dew point of 12°C. The maximum humidity was 85% and the minimum 75%.

Good morning from Roda. It is a lovely morning here we had almost cloudless blue skies with what clouds there were tinged with the rosy flush of dawn. It was very chilly but clear with excellent views of Albania across a quite ruffled seas. Every ridge seems to have been highlighted, and every village accounted for and present. There is a malevolent little breeze that sneaks around corners just when you are basking in the warmth of the sun. We did, however, have breakfast outside enjoying the warmth of the last day of November.
Yesterday was lovely. It started out amazing with no real clouds and amazing air quality. However clouds did increase during the day, but didn't give us too many cloudy spells. The seas remained quite calm, especially in front of Roda, but in the bay the waves were died away to much smaller ones. A bit of a breeze struck up at time but died away again. There was a so-so sunset leading to a cloudy evening with a few stars peeping out from behind them. It was a cool evening but still 12°C at 10.30pm, but still averaging several degrees warmer than this time last year.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Friday 30th November 2018 was 14.0°C, real feel 14°C, and the humidity 65% giving a dew point of 7°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 17.0°C and the minimum 13.8°C. A stormy and wet day.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 16.1°C (real feel 16°C), and the minimum was 11.4°C , a dew point of 12°C. The maximum humidity was 85% and the minimum 75%.
The reported UV for today is low at 2 ( Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around the summer solstice). The maximum temperature recorded by me in Roda in 2018 was 33.0°C real feel 35°C, on 8th June. The maximum recorded temperature ever in Corfu was 42.8°C The lowest recorded temperature was -8.8°C

Good morning from Roda, and Kalo Mena (have a lovely month) for the last time this year. We did have some sun first thing this morning with quite a lot of clouds, however there was a huge bank of clouds to the south of us that has gradually chased the sun from the skies, Albania being the last to lose it. It looked as though it was going to stay a grey cloudy day, however the sun has just found a small chink in the clouds and is warming me through the window as I write this. There is some haze around as Albania is still fairly clear, across the ruffled sea and we do have a bit of a breeze. It is forecast to stay mostly dry but cool.
It was a mostly lovely day with plenty of sunshine and the clouds only really gathering as the afternoon wore on. There was a chilly breeze that could spoil a pleasant sit in the sun, but it did get my washing dried beautifully. There were plenty of clouds by the time the sun was going down, but failed to give us much of a sunset. The breeze died away and the waves reduced to silken ripples reflecting the lights around the bay. It was a very clear night with all the village lights in Albania present and correct, but there were clouds that prevented most of the stars from appearing. It was cool with the temperature at 10 a chilly 10°C
The temperature at 10.00 am on Saturday 1st December 2018 was 13.2°C, real feel 13°C, and the humidity 71% giving a dew point of 8°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 17.5°C and the minimum 15.4°C. A stormy and wet day, but dry by the evening.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 14.9°C (real feel 15°C), and the minimum was 9.2°C , a dew point of 8°C. The maximum humidity was 63% and the minimum 53%.
