It was such a lovely welcome we got with the very kind weather on our arrival into Corfu Port. The sea was flat calm as we motored round the bay towards Gouvia. The clouds were caught on the mountaintops towards Troumpeta, but too high to affect the road. The descent towards the north is always a welcome sight, and it didn't disappoint. We arrived back into Roda and the heat of an Indian summer. A quick decision was taken, the fridge unloaded and off we went to grab a quick coffee and a bite as we headed to the sea. About two hours after we landed into Corfu we were swimming in the sea. It was slightly cool, but not as cold as one of the campsite pools were in on our way back to the UK. We did the minimum of unpacking before heading into the village for our now customary meal (last night and first night) at the Dimitri's grill room. Now we knew were back! We completed the evening with a gentle stroll around some of the village, catching up with people and what was still open. And so to bed for an early night. We had to set the alarm that morning for 6am as the ferry from Ancona docked at 7am! We are hoping this good weather continues to ease us into winter.

Jan, i've enjoyed that ride a few times recently and it is great, the views in both directions but especially seeing the north and the islands on the way home. Welcome home. X
