This morning wake to almost total high but thin grey cloud cover but it is a mild 13.4c at 8am. As i write the sun is gradually breaking through. It is very hazy over the sea and Albania is invisible from my balcony.
Yesterday was another very pleasant day with plenty of sunshine, the odd high cloud, a hazy view and the lightest of winds. Early morning shoppers stopping of in coffee shops to enjoy the sun and have a chat. The sea ws very calm. Plenty of life in gardens with tidying up, planting vegetables or painting. The maximum reached 19.8c before another average sunset due to the haze. As night fell so we again had a starlit sky but by midnight the clouds were rolling in.
The minimum temperature was 11.2c.

The forecasted overnight rains didn't arrive, just partial clouds that have moved on. Not quite so hazy or humid this morning, the sun is up and it 12.5c at 8.30am. Albania a grey siloette only, the odd cloud in the distance and over our hills.
Yesterday was a very humid day, the sun broke through and we had glorios sunshine with little breeze. The sea was like a pond, hardly any movement at all. It was fun playing in garden with my dogs whilst i was making meals for them and me and before going inside clearing, cleaning my spare room. I later took a stroll in Sfakera, having a beer with the locals. The temperature peaked at 21.1c but due to the humidity it felt even warmer. As night fell so clouds arrived but we still had a partial starlit night.
The minimum temperature was 13.2c.

This morning is again clear but hazy, Albania a little more visible than the last few days. There was a heavy ground dew but nothing on my car. The sun is up and it was 12.4c at 8am.
Yesterday was again humid, early morning the sea was flat, behind Acharavi was a mass of bonfires and low level smoke drifting inland like a low cloud. The sun broke through the haze and the temperature matched the previous day at 21.1c, late afternoon high thin clouds arrived but they passed by after sunset to reveal a starlit sky.
The minimum temperature was 11.2c.

This morning, after a mild night, is humid with plenty of fluffy white cloud around, no breeze at road level as my Greek flag for Independence Day is lifeless. It is thinning as the sun breaks through, the sea flat and at 9am it was 14.6c.
Yesterday turned into a strange one but the morning and afternoon was lovely sunshine with a light breeze, calm seas but a humidity that meant Albania vanished as the day progressed. The maximum temperature was 19.8c but felt much warmer. As sunset approached so the view from my balcony changed, the valley in front shrouded in mist, almost fog, as first all i could see of Roda was the top of the ariel nesr Roda Beach and Karousades hilltop. By 7pm, now looking from Sfakera taverna visibility was down to about 50 yards. This mist moving all the time, by 7.30pm whilst it was misty with little visabilty at low level you could look up and see blue sky, whispy clouds tinted purple and the top of Karousades hill again. By 8.15pm it had cleared further so we could see the stars, not as bright as usual, but was still misty at low level. Very strange weather.
Minimum temperature was 11.4c.
Greece is forecast for temperatures up to 27c this weekend but we are due to be a few degrees cooler.

A lot of high white cloud is around this morning accompanied by heavy haze making the peaks of Pantokrator look like grey siloettes, Albania is not visible at all. At 9.30am it was 14c. There were small waves lapping onto the beach.
Yesterday a light breeze picked up, it stayed hazy all day but the sun was shining through. Lovely to see families out in large numbers in Acharavi for the Independence Day Parade, the coffee shops and bars full to overflowing. The band led the parade, the school children, some in traditional costumes, and scouts marched with pride past the Priests, Mayor, chief of police and fire services while other children watching waved flags. The maximum temperature was 20.1c.
A hazy sunset preceded an evening partially starlit as dome light clouds began to roll in.
The minimum temperature was 12.3c.

A mild night, 15.5c at 1am when i got up to see what was disturbing my dogs, wake to a sunny day with just high wispy clouds and a very light breeze, sea is calm and looking a deep blue, haze still around and Albania again is only just visable. At 1am it is 14.3c.
Yesterday the clouds didn't disperse so it was sunny intervalsuntil early afternoon when the clouds thickened, staying more white than grey, come late afternoon there ws red/purple tint to clouds in the west. It did however stay dry and warm with the maximum reaching 18.5c. As evening progressed so the clouds began to slowly clear and the stars became evident.
The minimum temperature was 11,8c.

I am still adjusting to the darker mornings, today there being some thin fluffy grey clouds around aand a cool breeze. The coastal lights of Albania were visable as was the outline of the mountains above. As dawn broke the sun came up and the clouds started to move away. At 10am it was 12.7c, the sea a deep blue with less haze than recently.
Yesterday remained hazy but was a lovely sunny day, a light wind did pick up in the afternoon as did some thin clouds but we had a maximum of 18.6c. Many people are now out tidying gardens, digging, planting vegetables while others are painting. The long afternoons and light early evening are a joy even when there was no sunset to enjoy, a partial starlit night followed with the breeze having dropped it was very pleasant strolling home from the taverna.
The minimum temperature was 12.7c.

A chilly but clear dawn with little wind. Hardly any haze as temperature dropped and Albania much more visable. The sun was up over Roda by 7.45am but it was only 10c.
Yesterday it was glorious sunshine most of the time with the odd fluffy cloud breaking away from those above the Pantocrator range causing a brief gap in the sun. Next to no breeze making it very pleasant outside be it for gardening, painting, work or walking. The maximum temperature was 19.3c. The evening was cloudless, still and fully starlit. It was still 14c at 2am but the temperature was falling quickly due to there being no cloud cover.
The minimum temperature was 10.7c.

Another chilly cloudless morning almost identical to yesterday, it was 12.5c at 10am.
Yesterday was even more glorious than the previous day, wall to wall sunshine, a light breeze early afternoon. The maximum was 21.1c and felt warmer sat sheltered from the breeze. The sea calm with little waves lapping the beach. A glorious yellow sunset over Karousades preceded a spectacular starlit night, you could see the ball of the moon sat on a thin cresent of the light side of the moon.
The minimum temperature was 9.5c.

A very mild night, but this morning the sky is speckled with small fluffy white clouds with the sun shining around them and a light breeze. At 10am it was 16.3c.
Yesterday the best day of the year so far, maximum 23c but the real feel was over 25c. Wall to wall sunshine with just a very light breeze mid afternoon. Went for a drive up in the hills via Klamatia, Zikos towards Sokraki and down a narrow lane with over 20 hairpins, through a village where wing mirrors almost touch houses on both sides, coming out on the main road just south of Skripero? It was beautiful seeing the flowers, yellows in the hills with whites, purples and yellows on the lower slopes, bright purple blossom on many trees, wonderful wisterias in a pale blue with hint of purple. The views to Corfu Town were still great despite the haze. A sea with small waves was our view for a wonderful sunset which again was followed by a starlit night, still as the light breeze had gone.
The minimum temperature was 9.9c.

This morning cooler at 12.8c at 9.30am but the sun is up, hardly a cloud to be seen but it is a much hazier day as we welcome April (if you remember the long range forecast i oosted mid march said cooler and wet first 2 weeks this month). Albania again almost invisible, the breeze is very light.
Yesterday the speckled clouds thined but some remained around all day but we had sunshine all the way and a maximum of 22.7c. A lovely sunset enjoyed on the balcony at Sfakera Taverna, after it had set you could feel the drop in temperature and locals reached for their jackets. A fine starlit night followed.
The minimum temperature was 13.6c.

Again the morning is like yesterday, 14.2c at 10am, hardly a cloud, hazy but you can make out a bit more of Albania, and a very light breeze.
It was wall to wall sunshine yesterday and locally it reached 23.2c (real feel 25c). I was down in Strongoli, south of Benitses where it was 25.7c, and very pleasant sat in football ground surrounded by olive groves but with little shade itself. A lovely yellow sunset on the way home. It didnt get fully dark til nearly 9pm but when it did it was another beautiful starlit night.
The minimum temperature was 12c.

The weather changed yesterday evening wuth clouds thickening. It the rained on and off throughout the night, showers with odd rumble of thunder. There was a drizzle at 9am when it was 13.8c.
Yesterday started off lovely sunshine with haze but as the day progressed so clouds rolled in, firstly high and white and them becoming grey as evening arrived. It was still a very pleasant day with the maximum reaching 19.6c. It was a cloudy night.
The minimum temperature was 12c.

It is wall to wall grey storm clouds and showers this morning following a night of showers and thunderstorms. Visability is poor due to clouds with no sight of Albania. A light breeze. At 9.30am it was 12c.
Yesterday it stayed mostly grey and miserable with hardly a glipse of the sun. Showers and thunder rumbles were the order of the whole day, whilst we had a maximum of 15.5c the minimum of 12.6c was late afternoon when winds picked up for a while.
Sadly we are due this weather for the rest of the week, but the ground needs it as do the planted potatoes and other vegetables. The arrival of further swallows and martins has stopped and those here have flown away again.
