RODA BEACH SUMMER 2016
Steve and I took a walk along the beach recently rather than along the road. I must admit it was almost the first this season as Roda beach, whilst great for kids, splashing around etc is not great for swimming. What a change this season! Many of the sun beds are now sporting thick comfortable mattresses and great sized shady parasols. The riot of colour was most attractive. There are very few basic sets to be found. The average price for a set was €5 - €7.50, some may be a little dearer but you get discounts on the food and drink. The parade of businesses from the Dolphin to El Mar have extended onto the beach with innovative beach furniture, and it has changed the whole feel to the beach. I think for the better. There is still plenty of room for those who choose not to use sunbeds. Roda has maintained the price of sunbeds, or even slightly reduced them , whilst we are hearing some resorts on the island charging a lot more.

Pirates ones are better than some hotel mattresses.
