What's happening with the Roundabout? We were there on their opening night - long time ago now - and wondered if Vassilis has finally hung up his boots, or has just changed tings around. It used to be nicknamed 'packed' because every time we asked how business was the night before, the reply was always 'oh, packed!' when we had walked past and seen it was empty, or as near as.

It's still closed I'm afraid, there was talk in the winter of a makeover & reopening but so far nothing has happened, it's looking a bit sad at the moment. pete,

The last we saw of Vassilis, he was working for Adonis at Drosia. The Roundabout Bar has a ‘For Rent’ sign in the window.

That's a shame it was a nice stopping off point on the long road from Theos into the village I was hoping it would reopen x

That's a shame it was a nice stopping off point on the long road from Theos into the village I was hoping it would reopen x You could try the other way to Theos and stop at the delightful Boathouse for a stopping off point. We do on our way back home, very difficult to walk past in either direction.

We usually call in shop opposite Theo's for water on way to Boathouse, a very pleasant walk and we were going to call in the Roundabout bar last year had it been open, you never know tho, someone might rent it....

We usually call in shop opposite Theo's for water on way to Boathouse, a very pleasant walk and we were going to call in the Roundabout bar last year had it been open, you never know tho, someone might rent it.... That little shop opposite Theos has had a bit of a make over with a glass front being fitted in front of the doors. My daughter loves it when she stays at Theos, the lady running it is so kind and helpful. As for the Roundabout bar, I would love to see it and the shop next door back in business, but there does seem to be a general movement towards the beach, with fewer people venturing towards the crossroads. It is a pity as there are many businesses there, bars and restaurants that would add to the holiday experience. The pharmacy is there, where help can always be got for minor ailments and insect bites. The papershop has a good range of titles and there is a good grill room next door. In the winter the crossroads is brightly lit up and the hub of much of Roda life, and it should be visited more in the summer by our visitors.

People should try the Italians or the Taverna next to JJs really good value - we always try to start or finish up there because when we first went to Roda the Pegasus was our first hotel. So friendly around that area - no different to the rest.

We tried the Italian for the first time last year and ate there twice in the end. The food is delicious. Would definitely recommend. We are staying at Pegasus this year so no doubt a couple of visits will be in order

I agree David, odd décor but great food and entertainment.

When we looked in the roundabout bar it looked stacks of books still on shelves - deserted otherwise unfortunately.
