Good morning from Roda. We have another lovely fine day here. Wall to wall sunshine and blue skies like yesterday, but with the addition of a few high clouds. The snow is still there on top of a far Albanian peak, it will probably be there now until the spring thaw. The visibility is great and we have a calm blue sea. May try for a swim later. I will let you know if we are brave enough, although we did see someone yesterday swimming watched by his very anxious dogs on the shore. It was interesting to see that the temperatures for the west and south of Corfu at 10am this morning were higher (14- 17°C), than the north and east (6- 11°C). Those lumpy things behind us have a lot to answer for!
Yesterday stayed sunny all day, though it was nice and warm in the sun the shade was very cool. The lack of wind helped make it feel a lot better than it actually was temperature wise. The good weather lasted into the evening when we were treated to a lovely starlit sky. It was very dark here as all the beach street lights are out except for those in front of the Afrodite to Skouna. Thankfully the moon came up and lit our way home after a warm up at Smileys. The temperature at 10am on Thursday 17th November 2016 was 10.0°C, real feel 10°C, and the humidity 76%. Giving a dew point of 6°C . Yesterday's maximum temperature was 13.6°C (real feel 14°C) and the minimum was 6.9°C , the dew point 8°C. The maximum humidity was 79% and the minimum 70%
Sorry I have no data for this time last year. The reported UV for today is 2 ( Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around the summer solstice.

Good morning from Roda. It is a lovely day here. We have wall to wall blue skies and sunshine. Again the west and south of the island are several degrees warmer than the north and the east. There is no breeze and the visibility is good, with Albania very clear across the flat calm sea. Our hill/ mountains behind us are slightly less clear only due to the many bonfires going at the moment. The smell of Corfu in the winter is that of wood smoke, and sometimes roasted lamb drifting in on the breeze.
Yesterday was lovely all day, especially if you got in the sunshine. The shadows remained defiantly chilly! Hence our decision to wait awhile for our swim. I know we are cowards! There were a few more clouds than the previous day, but they disappeared by night and, again, we had the most glorious show of stars as there is so little light pollution near us. The sea as we walked to village to share in the opening of the revamped Pirates. We were treated to a sample of Toulah's liver in tomato sauce. Lovely it was too.
The temperature at 10am on Friday 18th November 2016 was 11.7°C, real feel 12°C, and the humidity 81%. Giving a dew point of 9°C.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 14.0°C (real feel 14°C) and the minimum was 6.6C , the dew point 9°C. The maximum humidity was 76% and the minimum 69%

Good morning from Roda. It is another great morning here. We have blue skies, sunshine, a few high level streaky clouds and not much breeze. Albania is nice and clear across the calm blue sea, but our backdrop is hazy because of the sheer number of bonfires around. There is a lot of pruning going on and all the trimmings not suitable for the wood burners are put on these bonfires. Again we have a distinct temperature difference with the west and south of the island this morning having temperatures ranging from 16- 20°C and the north and east 13- 15°C. The west and south are experiencing a south-easterly wind which is giving them those higher temperatures whilst we are sheltered by the mountains behind us. But is was still so lovely yesterday enjoying the sunshine.
Yesterday was gorgeous. In the sunshine it felt so warm. We even managed a good swim at Almyros and it was warm enough to sit on the beach afterwards to dry off. It was a bit cool getting in (it took me two attempts!), but once in it was not so cold that it prevented us having a good long swim. The sea was flat caln which helped quite a bit. Sitting in the cafe Ilo Ilo sheltered by glass, at times it was too hot! Hard to believe that it is into the second half of November. But when the sun starts sinking in the sky, boy does it get chilly and the thick jacket comes out for our evening walk into the village. The low dew points mean that we get a very heavy dew in the morning, and at night all the surfaces and pavements are very wet,as though there has been rain.
The temperature at 10am on Saturday 19th November 2016 was 12.0°C, real feel 12°C, and the humidity 82%. Giving a dew point of 9°C . Yesterday's maximum temperature was 15.6°C (real feel 16°C) and the minimum was 8.5°C , the dew point 12°C.
The maximum humidity was 81% and the minimum 75%.

Good morning from Roda. It is yet another lovely morning here. We have blue skies streaked with white high cloud, sunshine and barely a breeze. The air clarity is pretty good towards Albania, which is pretty clear across the very blue sea, but again the numerous bonfires are causing quite a haze for our hills and valleys. The west and south continue to be a few degrees warmer than us, but I think we are not getting the breeze that they are getting, so it all probably feels about the same. In the sunshine in a sheltered spot we are getting temperatures into the low to mid 20'sC, not bad for the time of year.
Yesterday was lovely all day, although at the time we went to see if it was warm enough for a swim it suddenly went a little chilly. So we decided against it. We headed for Diellas in Acharavi to do our weekend shop and it was gorgeous again, so we could have gone in for a dip. It stayed lovely for the rest of the day, giving us another starlit night and just a hint of a rolling wave coming ashore as we walked into the village.
The temperature at 10am on Sunday 20th November 2016 was 12.7°C, real feel 13°C, and the humidity 82%. Giving a dew point of 10°C . Yesterday's maximum temperature was 16.6°C (real feel 17°C) and the minimum was 8.8C , the dew point 13°C.

Yes Kaz, seen storm Agnus on the BBC news, not nice. I'm sure our weather will break into a storm Spiriodon in the near future, meantime we are enjoying these superb sunny days and starlit nights while our oranges and lemons ripen.

Good morning from Roda. The good weather continues and we awoke to clear cloudless blue skies, much darker blue than recently. The air clarity is much better, therefore Albania appears to be within touching distance across the calm blue sea. We have hardly any breeze at all. The smoke from the many bonfires is just heading skywards and not giving us the smoke haze we had had almost since the start of this good weather. I think a spell on the beach and a swim is called for. The temperature in full sun on the balcony is 28°C! Naturally we had breakfast out there and we stay outdoors for as long as possible only going in when it gets chilly in the late afternoon. By evening the T- shirt is discarded and the winter woolies and thick coat are needed.
Yesterday was a lovely day and we managed a couple of swims and a good hour on the beach lying in the sun. The water is quite cool at first but once in it is fine. We are going to try and get the water temperature today, it will be an interesting reading. The haze deepened during the afternoon in all directions, even across the channel to Albania, but by evening we had another amazing starlit night and the lights of the Albanian villages across the sea twinkled in the dark. It is much darker here at the moment as many of the street lights are not on. We actually need a torch along the sea front so we don't step off the road down onto the beach. This good weather is set to continue for a few more days yet. Just got one more set of bedding to wash then all done.
The temperature at 10am on Monday 21st November 2016 was 12.4°C, real feel 12°C, and the humidity 79%. Giving a dew point of 8°C . Yesterday's maximum temperature was 17.1°C (real feel 17°C) and the minimum was 10.2°C , the dew point 12°C.

Good morning from Roda. Despite what the majority of forecasts say the weather has changed. We had wall to wall grey clouds when we got up, no wind but it is warmer than the last couple of days. It just doesn't feel that way because there is no sun. There are breaks in the clouds now, so I am hoping that we get a little sun before the day is out. It is quite hazy with our backdrop faring badly due to the bonfire smoke.
Yesterday was lovely all day. We managed two good swims at Almyros and a pleasant hour or two in the sunshine. The sea was flat calm and little wind to cools us as we dried off. We have seen one or two other idiots swimming, but the seas and the beaches are generally deserted. On Sunday though there were a lot of walkers enjoying this lovely weather. The day stayed mild into the evening and we enjoyed our walk to and from the village. Still in our winter coats but not feeling the cold. The stars were out in force and I thought I could just make out a very dim Milky Way.
The temperature at 10am on Tuesday 22nd November 2016 was 12.4°C, real feel 13.9°C, and the humidity 83%. Giving a dew point of 11°C . Yesterday's maximum temperature was 17.0°C (real feel 17°C) and the minimum was 9.3°C , the dew point 13°C.

Good morning from Roda. It is back to normal, at least for today. We have clear blue skies with only one of two fluffy white things on the horizon. There is no wind to speak of, the sea is flat calm and there is a generally haziness making everything seem slightly out of focus. It is lovely and warm in the sun, so we enjoyed our breakfast on the balcony.
Yesterday started off poorly with complete cloud cover. However as the morning progressed so that cloud started breaking up, and by afternoon had all but disappeared. So we had a lovely warm and sunny end to the day. The wind stayed away and the sea stayed calm. We just wish we had believed the forecasts and headed to the beach instead of enjoying a lovely walk along the beach to Acharavi. Ended up having to carry my jacket as it was too hot! The afternoon eased into a lovely still night via a very pretty sunset, due to the late arrival of some clouds. It was a much milder night than recently.
The temperature at 10am on Wednesday 23rd November 2016 was 13.0°C, real feel 13.0°C, and the humidity 82%. Giving a dew point of 10°C . Yesterday's maximum temperature was 16.4°C (real feel 16°C) and the minimum was 10.8°C , the dew point 14°C.

Good morning from Roda. It is another lovely morning here. We have wall to wall blue skies, if you exclude a small amount of thin high stuff to the south and west of us. It is very warm sitting in the sun on our balcony as the breeze is almost non-existent. We still have a general haziness not helped by the bonfires. The high humidity levels are giving us lots of condensation, both outside on the grass and hard surfaces, but also inside the apartments. We keep our doors and windows open as long as possible during the day to allow the sun to do its work, and use a de-humidifier at night. During the winter here, damp is a constant problem especially in un-aired homes.
Yesterday stayed lovely all day. There was a slight breeze which didn't stop me having a very long swim( for me) across the bay near Almyros and back. A much shorter swim a bit later on, but the day was starting to lose its heat by then. The few clouds that had been loitering in the morning stayed with us but didn't affect the sunshine, but they gave us quite a pretty sunset. This was partially masked by a local setting of a huge bonfire which resulted in thick drifts of smoke, chasing us in doors. The evening was mild and starlit, and on our way back into the house a saw a lovely shooting star.
The temperature at 10am on Thursday 24th November 2016 was 13.2°C, real feel 13.2°C, and the humidity 82%. Giving a dew point of 9°C . Yesterday's maximum temperature was 15.9°C (real feel 16°C) and the minimum was 9.2°C , the dew point 13°C.

Good morning from Roda. It is a very mild but cloudy morning here. There is some brightness but I am not holding out much hope for sunshine. The breeze is not very noticeable, it feels very calm, but is forecast to get stronger. Everywhere is very hazy again, with Albania just a shadow of its former self.
Yesterday was another lovely day, just feeling a bit cooler than expected. The clouds stayed put to the south of us, but later on we had thin high ones which obstructed the sun a bit. We still managed about an hour on the beach, and I had another long swim. The sea has been so calm over the last few days that it is a shame not to go swimming.Steve has a bad cold so was staying dry and warm. The clouds gave us a lovely sunset, leading into a mild and calm starlit night. There is alone cicada chirping away near Smileys, I wonder if it is the same one as last year having moved into the warmth of the village from the sea front by The Coral. The one last year stopped singing around mid- December.

Good morning from Roda. This morning is very similar to yesterday, but it is a bit warmer. We have total cloud cover, but it is quite bright and very calm with the wind barely stirring the leaves on the trees. The haziness that was quite bad yesterday has mostly cleared. There are clouds sitting on the top of some of the Albanian peaks across a very grey but calm looking sea. I think I will pass on any swims.
Yesterday stayed mild, grey and hazy for the most part until mid afternoon when it started to drizzle. By four o'clock it had settled into rain. This did clear up by early evening and we had a dry walk to and from the village. The day remained calm again due to the lack of any breeze. We did a trip into Corfu Town yesterday and passed the most amazing field of snowdrops. It was so good to see as there are very few flowers about in the wild at the moment. It may be nearing the end of November, but it is still warm enough, even on dull days to only need a cardigan or light jacket during the day.
The temperature at 10am on Saturday 26th November 2016 was 15.3°C, real feel 15°C, and the humidity 88%. Giving a dew point of 11°C . Yesterday's maximum temperature was 16.7°C (real feel 17°C) and the minimum was 12.3°C , the dew point 15°C.

Good afternoon from Roda. I am sorry my report is late today as we went picking mandarins, oranges and lemons from DaveH's garden. Then we went for a coffee in the village and got chatting and couldn't escape!. This morning was grey and drizzly when we got up. There was a brisk wind from the south so the sea was grey but calm. There must have been some rain during the night as the balcony was a bit wet. We had complete cloud cover but the air clarity was good, with Albania to be clearly seen across the channel with a cap of clouds on its peaks.
Yesterday stayed grey, mild and overcast until mid-afternoon. We were sitting on our balcony watching the dark clouds over the mountains change to a lighter grey as the rain started to fall. We watched the rain to the south and west of us until it reached us. The clouds came well down and filled the valleys, so I took the photo below. By the time we went for our evening walk it had all stopped and we had a mostly starlit sky. There was a single bank of cloud up lit by the lights of Saranda. Judging by the puddle we had to avoid there had been quite a lot of rain. The photo was taken from our balcony looking east after the rain had finished early evening.
The temperature at 10am on Sunday 27th November 2016 was 14.6°C, real feel 15°C, and the humidity 88%. Giving a dew point of 13°C

Good morning from Roda. It is a dark and very wet morning this morning. The rain hasn't stopped and the visibility is very poor with Albania well lost in the haze and the clouds lurking in our valley and burying our mountain tops. There are occasional rumbles of thunder and flashes of lightening. It will be truly miserable in Strinilas and Old Perithia. There is not much in the way of wind, which is something to be positive about, and there is definite brightness to the west. To top everything off we had a tremor from an earthquake just over half- way between Roda and the Albanian coast, half- way between Erikousa and Borsh in Albania. It measured 3.6 on the Richter Scale and was 10km deep. Steve said that the earth moved for him in bed at 7.22am, unfortunately I slept through it!
Yesterday turned out much better than forecast. The early drizzle died away and we had some blue patches in the sky, but the sun didn't really appear until near sunset when we had some magnificent cloud formations and the mountain sides of Albania were beautifully lit. We had starlit night early in the evening and the lights of Albanian villages and a ship passing could be clearly seen twinkling across the sea. By 10'ish the clouds had covered the sky. It remained mild and calm with an almost flat sea though.
The temperature at 10am on Monday 28th November 2016 was 13.3C, real feel 13°C, and the humidity 82%. Giving a dew point of 10°C
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 16.3°C (real feel 16°C) and the minimum was 12.3°C , the dew point 14°C.
