Can anyone find out why Thomas Cook don't appear to be doing holidays to the hotel next year. It won't come on!

That’s right, kaz - Afroditi are switching back to Thomsons in 2017.

There are plenty of nice venues to choose from. Try booking through Olympic it lists a couple of them. To name a few you could try theodores, angelina apartments. Or you could try the Elizabeth appts. Just have a shop around, we never have a problem and we have stayed roughly in the same place, with the furthest being at the Venus apts they are nice too. You seem to primarily do package deals so Olympic offer you flights and destination too with all the add ons you need too. We prefer to book our flights and book independent - we find it a better use of our money that way and aren't stung by hidden charges, nothing is free in this game

From your other posts on the forum you seem to prefer a "package" holiday. If you want to stay at the Afrodite again the solution is glaringly obvious - book through Thomson!

Yes its glaringly obvious we do package holidays.
Why
.Thomas Cook wanted £800 deposit for Afrodite we wanted to go .Went with Jet2 £60 deposit to Pegasus .Same scenario last year at Silver Beech .Then Thomas Cook reduced deposits to £50 - we booked Afrodite - What we wanted.
Need
To book asap
Reason
.Paula is a single parent house owner a daughter at uni. .No benefits .She works hard. .I'm a single flat owner .I do 2 jobs. .No benefits .I get cash weekly .I pay the travel agent weekly it takes 38 weeks. .Paula buys euros monthly.
Aim
To get to Roda!
You see that's why package - don't say save each week it dont work like that. No sympathy please we don't need any -it works for us as it does for others.
Plus I wouldn't after working my rocks off get a taxi when the coach is there for nowt.
Thanks unless Thomson lower deposit we will do what's necessary low deposit wise and if not Afrodite then anotherplace as kindly pointed out.
As long as we get to RODA our way that's all that counts.
PS I won't be looking for rubbish ha!

I wasn't giving you sympathy - I don't even know you. I was simply suggesting a solution to your problem with booking Afrodite. Neither do I / we on the forum need to know your personal income details. I don't think many people can afford a holiday without saving - we certainly cannot. I'm not about to re-visit the "free" coach transfer -v- taxi either - that's been done to death. Think it's probably best not to respond further to your posts on here.

It wasn't supposed to be like that and i mentioned finances as i was actually saying nicely why we did it and the end product. I did add humour about taxi Kath. So I apologise and hope we dont fallout even though we haven't met. We are really nice people and I felt it necessary just to state our case. Paulas a Newcastle supporter so you can't fall out with her ha.

I’m confused Dave - will you stay at Afroditi or Valentino’s? I met a couple tonight who have been coming here for five years, now at Valentino’s, and it seems to be good value for money.

Steve we've walked past Valentino's for the last 3 years down and up. Memories of 1st time in Roda from Pegasus to Boathouse past Theodoraus then 2nd time Silver Beech up to crossroads then same route. It has always been a place which we have thought we could have a base like so many we have seen. To us Afrodite is an ideal location but if needs must and the deal is wrong then Paula and myself having already looked to plan ahead would certainly go to Valentinos.

I'm confused you haven't mentioned you stay at valentinos in previous posts. You claim you stay in Aphrodite? I think you may have got the two venues mixed up.

I did say Valentino's could be for us. The reason is that we are at Afrodite for 3 weeks this year in August but sadly Thomson have taken over next year. They are quite pricey deposit wise and overall so I thought as I mentioned walking past Valentino's virtually every night on way to boathouse and harbour bar that would do us. We've never stopped there at all. Pegasus 2014 Silver Beech 2015.
Sadly though having been to collect tickets from travel agents tonight Thomas Cook dont do Valentino's.
They do Theodoraus Melinda Coral
So we are looking at a package to one of them OK.
Sorry for any confusion.
As long as we get to Roda that's the aim.
