It is with much regret that I have to report that Roda has lost a long time regular visitor, Gary sadly passed away yesterday, it was all very sudden. Gary could always be found either outside The Roda Inn or at Crusoes with his bottle of Bud. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. R.I.P. Gary, one of the good guys, at least he passed away in his favourite place. pete.

It is very sad news, but Gary had not been a well man for some time. He had become a bit of an institution outside of Roda Inn & Roxanne’s, with friends dropping in every day to spend time with him. He was rushed in to hospital when he was here last, just a few weeks ago, but he seemed to rally and back he came. He will be greatly missed ...

How tragic I can't begin to imagine what his poor family must be going through. My thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
RIP Gary

After quite a delay in finding out what was being arranged for Gary, we have been informed that he has been repatriated to Scotland. I know these things can take some time as my late husband died on a holiday to Spain. It seemed forever before we could organise the funeral, which was distressing as we were in limbo until we could. At least he is back home in Scotland, but I am sure that his presence here will be sadly missed for a long time.
