Hi there
Not sure if this is the correct place to post, apologies if not!
We are coming to Roda in August and haven't been before. There is a large group of us - 7! That includes two 16 year olds, an 18 year old, two 21 year olds and the other three are over 40 (one being 68).
We are a quiet family who just want to chill out and relax however the boys of the group will likely want to explore and maybe go on a jet ski, is there any water sports in Roda?
Is there a lively atmosphere (not like the likes of Magaluf! Just a bit of a nice atmosphere)?
Random one, is there a place to get hair braids done? The colourful hair wraps that are done with thread and beads at the end?
Thanks in advance! We are mega excited!

Hi Lucy, there is a water sports center on the beach with doughnuts, banana boat etc, but no jet skis. The various bars & tavernas can be as lively or as quiet as you want, there are plenty to choose from, from chill out bars to tribute acts, quizzes and a nightclub. There is usually a lady on the seafront in the evenings doing hair braids, come & have a great time!!!! pete.

Hi Lucy
If you just want to chill out and relax then Roda is the place for you. Never having been to Magaluf (but having seen stuff on TV) - I would say Roda is completely, utterly different. There are quiet bars for a drink / natter and livelier ones (with things such as karaoke / tribute acts).
I don't believe you can hire jet ski's in Roda - it used to be possible to do the banana boat / parachute thingy thangy in the height of the summer - not sure if that is still the case as we now go in either June or September. Along the seafront (on an evening) there are various people offering different things - not sure if braiding is one of them - sure someone will be along soon to confirm/deny.
Oops! I see Pete has replied at the same time as I was typing.
Welcome to the forum and I hope you all enjoy Roda as much as we all do.
regards, Kath.

Hi Lucy - I have asked about Xanthe, the hairdresser, (reply on Trip Advisor) and her assistant has braids herself. I think that’s your best bet and you will be surprised at the prices. Welcome to Roda ...
