We returned to a seemingly very chilly Gatwick early yesterday morning to be greeted by the cancellation of the next train home! Not the best end to a great holiday!
We arrived at the Kosmas Apartments at about 03:30 on the 5th of August and were led to (oh no) room 13! I immediately started to panic but needn't have worried! I had and early morning stroll into Roda and down to the sea front - the walk isn't that bad. I had a quick look around to get my bearings and then strolled back to the apartments where my wife and daughter were starting to stir!
I have to confess to having a very lazy fortnight and not going out and doing as much as I planned (most days were spent lazing by the pool) We had a few evening strolls into Roda but quite often just ate at the snack bar - Effie and the gang did us proud and thanks to her I am the very proud owner of my own Mythos Glass!
I tried my first gyros when we visited Sidari and we are now all hooked on them! We jumped a bus to Kassiopi to go and show Aimee where we went on honeymoon.
We sampled the Greek night at the apartments twice - brilliant nights and will try to get some pics on here.
We were into the second week when my wife pointed out that I hadn't had any fish - so we went to the New Port for a fabulous Swordfish steak and my wife loved her Kleftiko - almost as much as the Nutella crepes they tried from Yummies
Honestly we did more but its my first day back at work and my brain is frazzled! The owner of the company has just said 'thank god you are back' and that all of my future leave is cancelled - I didn't have the heart to tell her that we are looking to book for next year and I have also applied for a new job!
Well more of the report to come (when I can remember) I need to check the pics for reminders - it all seems so long ago now!
