Hi I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about the summerlife apartments in Roda? We usually stay at the Elizabeth but there's no room left this year!

I have never heard of them and your link only partly loads on my computer Jackie. I can not see any pics nor a map.

The site has finally loaded on my computer and it's all very confusing. The photo shows the wall passing Venus and leading down to the pebble beach at the end. On the right, is Villa Maria which is shown on the map in the correct place. 'Summer Life apartments are shown on the next road over between Semeli and the main road. I am not aware of any apartments there that could be rented out. If it is Villa Maria under a different name, they do have air-conditioning, they are spacious enough but, from memory, they did not have railings around their balcony, they do not havae a swimming pool and they are owned by a priest who has, in the past, taken a few overspill bookings from Venus Apartments. It is more likely that these are Charlie's sister's apartments - the ones that share the same site with Venus. Many people will know that Charlie upgraded his half of the complex and I do know that his tour operator is only taking his half this summer. If I was in Roda, I would call in and ask but, unfortunately, I will not be there for a little while yet.

Have to say that map in Jackie's link is the worst one I've ever seen of Roda, looks like the Coral has moved! Found this on Bookings.com this morning... www.booking.com/hotel/gr/summerlife-apartments.htmlNot sure about a sandy beach 75 meters away though, last time I walked past it was all stones. pete.

We usually stay at the Elizabeth I've spoken to Helen and she knows of them and their location they are apparently a few mins walk from her in the direction of a Acharavi. I did say to my hubby is stones down that way not sand so is a little confusing anyone used booking.com themselves? Is my first time not doing a package holiday so I'm very nervous lol! I don't want to bombard Helen with questions as it doesn't seem fair seeing as she's our location of choice!

It is the Venus! Thanks for solving the mystery! I just googled the Venus and is definitely the same pool and apartments. They may have changed their name following some bad reviews on trip advisor or maybe they've changed hands?! No way of finding out unfortunately :-(

We have had a reply from Sue who manages the bookings for the owner very friendly lady. She had confirmed the booking and said they are no longer with Olympic holidays. I have emailed back along if it used to be the Venus and is it run by Charlie I'm certain she'll say yes. So has anybody stayed here before? Did someone say the apartments have been upgraded when was that? Thanks so much for taking the time!

Just had the following reply from Sue, any comments are appreciated (sorry to bombard the thread! )....... Yes it is on the same complex as the Venus with Cosmos holidays, Charlie is the brother of the owner for the Summerlife, so same complex but different owners. Car Hire can be delivered to and from the airport free of charge and at a cost of € 35 per day for a group A. I can book this for you, not a problem at all. Below are two links for Taxi transfer and second one is for coach transfers. www.taxireservations.gr/ www.resorthoppa.com/airport-transfers/greece/corfu-intl-airport-cfu Let me know if I can do anything else. Kindest regards Sue

Hi Cheryl, if you are going to book a taxi from the airport be sure to book with Roda taxis, much cheaper than getting one at the airport and the driver will know where to drop you off. If the Summerlife apartments are the ones owned by Charlie's sister then they have not been upgraded, that's why they are no longer with Olympic. The beach at that end is mainly stones as you said, feel free to ask anymore questions that you may have, one of us will have the answer.
