Looking forward to arriving in Roda on Sunday for three weeks. Can anybody tell me if any pubs show sports on t.v.I am in particular looking to see the All Ireland gaelic football and hurling finals on the 22nd and 28th of September. For those of you who may not be sports fans, these finals are very colourful and entertaining.

In all the years we've known Roda, I've never seen any Irish sport on tv there especially Gaelic football and hurling. I doubt very much if Irish tv channels are even available there but you can always ask.

Hi Wex, Try the Drunken Sailor or Pirates, as they are the ones that have the most choice usually. Make sure you ask as soon as you get there as it will give them time to check it out for you. Hope you have a great time in Roda!

If it's on any of the sattelite channels, I don't see there being a problem. Just as in a few places & I'm sure that as long as there's no English footie on, someone will oblige!

Ooops..forgot to say...when I arrived at Corfu airport and waiting for my case, a voice behind me said "Is that your case Janet (which it was), I turned round to see that Yiannis from Roda taxis was there and he grabbed my case from the carousel.....now how's that for service.....he had spoken to security and they let him through to help me.....he is sooo kind

Yiannis is a great guy - that's fantastic, Kaz! After the mix up with my taxi in June, he came to the apartment to apologise personally to me. It wasn't a major issue. He didn't have to do this & it's what makes them such a good company to go with. Will use them again next year!
