If anyone can get to Corfu Town on Friday October 25th, I believe the Queen Elizabeth will be in port.

She was built less than a mile away from my house, in John Brown's Shipbuilders. Such a shame it's now closed & the ship building industry has now almost totally left the area.

We missed her the last time, but not on her return visit today. More pics later ...

Another shot of the Queen Elizabeth in Corfu Town today, dwarfing the cruise ship 'Deutchland'. The Deutchland carries 513 passengers, has a gross tonnage of 22,400 tonnes, and one of its claims to fame is that passengers aboard Air France Flight 4590, the doomed New York City-bound Concorde charter flight that crashed on takeoff in Paris in 2000 without survivors, was carrying passengers for the Deutschland for a 16-day cruise to South America.
The Queen Elizabeth can carry over 2,000 passengers.
