For a couple of years, we have heard lots of rumours about not taking honey from Greece back to other EU countries.
Well it's not true! ;D
If you have become hooked on yoghurt & honey while in Roda, and you just can't get the same taste back home, then you can take honey home with you to all EU countries as long as it is for your own consumption.

Hi Honey lovers! I have not been aware of any 'ban' on bringing home the lovely Greek honey. Every year for the past eleven years or so, I have always brought back a couple of jars of the good stuff. Jackie.

Hi jacanste
Evidently there are signs at some airports saying that you cannot bring honey into the UK, but we suspect that they probably refer to non-EU countries and the small print gets missed in the rush to get to Roda. ;D

If you are entering the UK from a European Country you can bring in Honey as long as it is free from disease, and for your own consumption. In other words buy from a reputable seller.
