Just back from our stay in Roda. The weather a little hit & miss but hey ho !!!!
We (Roda Rambler 1) & myself tried a few of the restaurants mentioned & I thought I'd let you have an honest opinion of the meals etc.
Our first meal was at The El Mar run by Kostas. Our starter was Tzatziki with bread & butter, an absolute delight.
Elaine had Chicken Souvlaki with half chips & rice, she enjoyed very much. I plumped for pork chop & chips, not disappointed either. Neither of us could find room for a dessert.
Our second meal in Roda was at Roxanne's to which we had pitta bread & tzatziki starter, quite nice. Elaine had for her main course Pastsisada with pasta, which is spicy beef in a tomato sauce. I had beef Kokkinisti, which is beef chunks in a tomato sauce, half chips & rice. Elaine had apple pie & ice cream for dessert.
Our third & final meal was at The Dolphin. Perhaps the best meal of the week. Once again tzatziki & pitta bread starter (love the stuff) Elaine's main course was pastistsido (?) & chips. I had the lamb kleftiko. It was to die for !!!!!! The kleftiko was presented in a bowl with the meal (correctly) wrapped in foil & greaseproof paper . The lamb was on a shank & literally fell off the bone & melted in your mouth.
All the meals we experienced were very good - but these are just our opinions. Try them, we don't think you will be disappointed.
