Wasn't sure where to put this post, hope it was OK to start a new one. I said that I would inform others when I had a reply from Ria regarding a deposit for my booking at Makis. I have spoken to Ria via email and she has informed that i will not now need to pay a deposit. I will pay the full amount in Euros on arrival. Does anyone know Makis charges for Air-Con?

Hi, Please can anyone tell me what the facilities are like in Makis studios? I have used the pool area many times but never stayed there. Is there plenty of wardrobe space? do I need to take a travel kettle? any other advice on what i need to pack? Any help you can give would be most welcome. Sharon x

Big wardrobe. No need for a kettle or anything else. Electric kettle & a small 2 ring hob & oven. Anything else you need to know, justask & II'll try to answer for you. xx

Hi jacks, Thanks for that info. This will be the first time I have traveled alone and the first time I have booked independently, so starting to have a bit of a panic. I know it's silly cause I will be well looked after by Makis and his family. I know who to ask though now, will try not to be a pain lol. Sharon X

Hi, I have visited Roda by myself too, its so safe and friendly that at times it didnt feel like I was alone, I met up with other single travellers (shared the cost of sunbed hire) ... swapped books etc... Unlike in the UK if you eat alone it feels awkward, not there. You will be totally fine. I have never booked with travel agent since poor treatment with Olympic on our first visit to Corfu. I prefer giving the money to local people than rip off holiday companies. When are you travelling, If its anytime this month I am there for the next 5 weeks. x
