I am writing to you about the horrible VISIT TO Coral Hotel in Roda.
> Me and my girlfriend came to Roda on 28 of September and we checked in the Coral Hotel - we chose it as it had best opinions in internet.
> We booked a room with balcony and we got a room without balcony. We went down to reception desk and there was the owner of Hotel at the reception desk. He said the hotel is fully booked and he can not help us. His English was rather poor and he was not kind as he should be. We said ok and we went to restaurant and there was young waiter. He asked us if everything is ok. We said that it was ok except the problem with the room. He offered us another room WITH BALCONY STRAIGH AWAY. Everything was ok with the room except from the shower door which we could not close. It was not a problem for us as we could still take a shower.
> We spent 3 nights in the hotel without any further problems (only the owner was not polite through all our stay)
> On our last evening I went downstairs and my girlfriend was having a shower before going out for a meal. Suddenly when she openned the shower door they broke into pieces on my her body. I heard that noise as I was just outside the room. When I entered the bathroom I saw my girlfriend standing in the midlle of the shower her legs and hands in blood and plenty of glass around her. She was terrified and she was crying. I helped her to go out and put her on the bed. I went straight down to reception desk to get help. One person went with me to the room. Two minutes later there was Owners wife bringing some antiseptics to help us to stop blooding from all the cuts on her body. I was trying to clean her body from all the glass pieces but they were to small. I said to Owners wife that my girlfriends needs to wash her body from glass pieces in another bathroom. The answer was: IT IS FULLY BOOKED!! I said to her that I have to speak to somebody with better English. She brought her son Dimitry (hotel manager) who offered us different room straight away. He said that it could not happen without a reason, that my girlfriend must have fallen on the door. I said that from the first day we had a problem moving the door and his answer was: WE SHOULD TELL THEM ABOUT IT BEFORE. For us it was not a problem as we are not trying to be problematic geusts and that when we book a hotel room we expect everything to be checked and fully functional and safe.
> We changed the room, my girlfriend washed her body from small pieces of glass. After that we decided to go have a walk as my girlfriend was in shock she was shaking and we thought that maybe she will get calm after having a walk. When we were passing the reception desk there was the Owner his wife and his son Dimitry and nobody said anything to us nobody asked us about anything.
> We went to Alexandros Restaurant a fantastic place with nice food where we had spent fantastic Greek Night two days before. We wanted to talk to Lisa who works in the restaurant and honestly is the kindest and most helpful person we have ever met on any holiday. She advised us that we should not leave this situation like that she told us about our rights and that we have to go back to hotel tell them to get us a doctor as my girlfriend was still in shock and that we need a statement from the doctor. We went back to hotel I asked Dimitry at reception desk to call a doctor He was SMILING AND HE ASKED ME THAT MAYBE WE NEED TO GO TO HOSPITAL. It looked like that all situation was funny for him. I told him that we will need a statement from the doctor. Behind Dimitry there was the owner standing. Dimitry translated to him what I said before and the Owner just went crazy. He started to shout at me that HE IS GOING TO CALL THE POLICE AND WE HAVE TO MOVE OUT IN 5 MINUTES. He tried to make us scared off course. I said ok call the police (I was allready advised by Lisa about our rights). He contiued to scream about police and that we will have to pay for the door. Dimitry tried to calm him down. I said to Dimitry I am going upstairs to my girlfriend. After about 20 minutes we got a doctor but he could not speak English very well. He gave my girlfriend 1 tablet that was supposed to calm her down.I SAID WE NEED HIS STATEMENT. He said we can get it next morning at 10. He wanted us to pay for the visit. I said that the hotel will pay him as it is HOTELS FAULT THAT THE SHOWER DOOR WAS NOT WORKING GOOD. I went with the doctor downstairs he said at the reception desk that we do not want to pay and THE OWNER WENT EVEN MORE CRAZY. HE SHOUTED AT ME AGAIN WAS SCREAMING ABOUT THE POLICE AND THAT HE DOES NOT LIKE CHEAP CUSTOMERS AND WE WILL HAVE TO MOVE OUT IN 5 MINUTES WHEN POLICE COMES.
> Again I went to ALEXANDROS RESTAURANT to talk to Lisa. Again she gave me some good advise and when I went back to the hotel the Owner was gone, there was only his son Dimitry. He looked upset like us about all the situation. We talked about 5 minutes.He told that guests come to hotel and they hurt themselves to get compensation from the hotel. I could not believe what I heard as did not even know that I can get any compensation ant it was not about the but the way we were treated by them AND WE DID NOT LIKE THAT LIED US ALL THE TIME He made me sure that the doctor will come in the morning with the statement and that the police is coming soon or in the morning.
> POLICE NEVER CAME THIS NIGHT.
> In the morning we went for a breakfast. We checked out and we asked at reception desk if the doctor is coming with the statement. At the reception desk there was the Owners Wife. She said:NO DOCTOR. DOCTOR NOT COMING. I asked her to contact him, she said: NO NUMBER.
> We asked if we could talk to Dimitry as his English was much better than any other staff-member. She said: DIMITRY SLEEPING - NO DIMITRY.
> Suddenly we spotted The Owner coming to us. He tried to be polite at the beginnig. It lasted till I asked him what time is police coming. His answer: YOU CALL POLICE TAKE TAXI AND GO TO POLICE, MOVE BACK FROM MY RECEPTION TAKE YOUR BAGS AND LEAVE MY HOTEL. I said we are waiting for the doctor and his statement but we ended up without any statement, without any contact to this doctor and police never came.
> AT THE END OF THE STORY THE OWNER TOLD ONE OF WAITERS TO TAKE OUR BAGS OUT. I said to him that we would never make any problem if at the beginnig somebody said SIMPLE SORRY or offered any help. His answer was: I DO NOT LIKE TO SAY SORRY AND GO OUT AND WE ARE LUCKY THAT ONLY DIMITRY STOPPED HIM FROM MAKING POLICE TAKING US FROM THE HOTEL LAST NIGHT.
> After that we heard in Roda that we are not the first customers being treated like that. We just do not understand how the hotel can have such a good opinion in internet with such a horrible boss. They are nice only when you pay them but when there is a problem they become MR HYDE
