We bumped into Billy this morning and it turns out that, many years ago, he was working with a tiler who had a problem with his wisdom teeth. At the time, the mosquitos were swarming in huge numbers and Billy needed something - anything - to put on the bites. He grabbed the Bonjela and hey presto! it worked. He has been recommending it ever since.
One of the main active ingredients in Bonjela is an aspirin based anti-inflammatory compound and another is an antiseptic. Clearly they both have an effect on bites & stings but be careful. Topical medication is absorbed into the body and you may be affecting the strength of other things you are taking.
If in doubt, check with your doctor.
