HI ALL. Ive been to glorious roda 4 times and have only ever eaten at roda park and smileys, and the mexican. All are /was good, but ive heard and read that smileys isnt as good quality anymore?? Im a big fan of kostas and team at roda park and always do great meals, due to the brilliant albanian chef who I hear is leaving at end of season. Ive heard from people who recently visited that the two english staff at roda park are rather rude and dull? Hopefully the image etc isnt ruined due to these two??
Anyways.. Im due at roda the 18th sept and wanted some tips and ideas for other places to try ? Ill of course eat at roda park 1 or 2 nights. But wonderd where esle? And aslo any recomendations for acharavi? Cheers Luke

I'd give as many as you can a try - everyone has their own faves. Can't say i've had a bad meal in any of them.

Cheers Luke Luke, did I read this right, you've been to Roda 4 times and only ever been in 3 restaurants? A few I would urge you to try are......... Nikos Family Taverna (right next door to the Roda Park where Food and Service are superb) If you like meat then Drossia is unmissable IMHO Thalassea restaurant at the Panorama pool apartments is also v.good. Petro Stekini (formerly Odysseus is also well worth a visit a bit further towards the Afroditi) The Newport along the front is also highly recommended, along with Roxannes and several others. I'd also throw in Ninos on the Beach, The Brandy shop for daytime snacks and most others. I must also recommend the Roda Grill opposite the Drunken Sailor for late night munchies. As others have said, almost all restaurants in Roda are well worth a visit and one of the best things about Roda is trying them all. You won't regret it. In Acharavi I definately would visit the Pumphouse and the Acharavi Park. Hope that helps

Oh well, each to their own! I'll have sampled 4 by the fourth evening!
Been back from Alykanas in Zakynthos 6 weeks now; I could murder a kleftiko and a cold Mythos!

Roda Park has always been one of our favourites both for the food, the atmosphere and the welcome from Costa, Voula and the team - and we hope that never changes. Having read so many rave reports about Roxannes on here and elsewhere we are looking forward to going there for the first time this year.

Hi all
We have eaten in most places in Roda ( Roda park, Nikos, Roxannes, Newport, Pangolas, 5 Roses) but would like to try some more when we are out next week. I have heard Drossia mentioned a few times on the forum. Where do we find it?
Thanks Carol

Drosia is just beyond Dromeas Car Hire on the way to the crossroads, Carol - opposite Sunriders bike hire. It is really a grill room with a difference ... the lamb chops and liver dishes are particularly popular.

Been back from Alykanas in Zakynthos 6 weeks now; I could murder a kleftiko and a cold Mythos! Two of our faves there! Kleftiko for the wife and the mythos for me! My wife had to admit that i cooked a mean kleftiko last time i tried!
