Hello Just joined the site and it looks excellent We are staying at the Afrodite and would like to visit Corfu Town. I understand there is a bus stop opposite. How long does the journey take please and how will we find the bus stop for the journey back. Thanks in advance.

Hi Tommo1961 & welcome to the forum, feel free to ask any questions you may have about the village. The "green bus" stop is right out side your hotel, the journey can take a while due to it being the "local" bus but it is not expensive, it will drop you at the bus station in Corfu Town & leaves from the same place - it will be up to you to find it again ! If you are not on a tight budget the local travel shops run a coach for 10 euros return or you can take a much more scenic route which is just as quick & go by boat for 20 euros return, in my opinion the best way to do it. Hope this helps, pete.

Hi Tommo1961. Yes the bus stop is opposite the Afrodite near the bridge, The timetable is posted there. It takes about 1 hour 20 mins from Roda to Corfu town, the fare is Euro 3.60 Please collect a timetable from the kiosk at the bus station, and take note of the surrouding area. Turn right out of the bus station to the end of the road you will find a small roundabout, you can walk up the hill or follow the road around the port side this will bring you to the old town. on your return to the bus station the sign Roda. Sidari. is on the shelter above. You will experience a bit of push & shove to get back on the bus. If you require the W.C. It's located in the bus station & inside the cafe on the left. most buses have a W.C. on board .On your return trip you can get off slightly before the crossroads near the betting shop just in case the bus your on turns right to Kassiopi, or back to where you started. Hope this helps.

No; I'll be taking a big smile! (not much to chose avatar wise on this site, and 100 x100 pixels dosen't give me much scope to add a custom one!)

No; I'll be taking a big smile! (not much to chose avatar wise on this site, and 100 x100 pixels dosen't give me much scope to add a custom one!) Shouldn't be a problem Colin. Just choose a suitable one of your own pics., select/crop it into a square image, then reduce it (scale it down) to 100 x 100 pixels. Then follow the instructions on your "modify profile". Or you can always use the free "TinyPics" website. Hope this is of some help? Rgds, Chris
