hi i hope someone may be able to help us , my daughter will be bringing her scooter with her this year instead of a wheel chair as she wants to have a bit of Independence i was just wondering how we go about getting this on a plane ? i know she has to inform them about it but wanted to know how it will be transported , will they take it apart as it can be dismantled and how is this kept together ? we don't want to be at Corfu with the seat missing lol , I'm sure one of our forum members must of done this and can help with this

Hi Linnie, the best thing you can do is to phone the airline you are travelling with & ask them as they all have their own way of doing things. Steve has mentioned before that at Corfu airport all dissabled travellers depart from the same gate - number 5 i think - where they are assisted on to the plane. pete.

Hi Linnie - I do know of other people who have done this and everything arrived - don't forget that the airlines only allow you to bring gel batteries. One bit of advice, as they will probably put all the parts onto the carousel, unless you can come to some arrangement - position yourself at the top of the ramp to collect the parts as they join the carousel. With some of the components being a bit heavy, they may just overshoot.
