Hi Pete, well that was a really bad start to the day, dragging the kids out of bed for a coach that never turned up. To say I was unimpressed was an understatement. We got an apology and a refund and rather than spend the day brooding we hired a boat from Sam and went to Canal d'amour. We actually had a lovely day although would have preferred to stick to our original plan. Glad you had a good trip. Hopefully see you later x

Oh no! I hope you get your money back, Nikki! Where was the trip from?
Actually, never mind, you can answer me in person tomorrow.
In the hotel bar just now, but need to head to bed soon, cos we have to be up at 3am!!!!

Don't recognise the names but may know the faces! Last year was the first time we have ever been to Maggie's and have never been to Oscars.
regards, Kath.

I know it's boring for you in the U.K. but it's been another glorious day here in sunny Roda, great start to the day with a free breakfast at Crusoes - always nice but even nicer when free ;D Lazing down the beach when up walked Jackie & Colin, they had a good flight and we'll doubtless see them tonight as Jackie has her first 69 of the year. Came third in what was the hardest quiz i've ever seen in Crusoes & only got that thanks to Kathrippon's help K.H.P. for tonight's meal, we've ordered the special roast lamb with roast potatoes - can't wait ! After that no doubt the whole crazy gang will meet up somewhere, after all it's saturday night it would be rude not to. Forgot to mention the other day, Maggies strawberry trifles are as good as ever. pete.

It might be raining, and blowing a hooly here, but your On Site Reports spreads that little bit of sunshine our way, cheers Pete.

A great night last night, the "gang" all met up at Crusoes where we managed between 11 of us to fail miserably in the quiz, we were entertained by a couple of fire eaters performing in the street outside, they were pretty good, i've got some photos that i'll put on when i'm back home, we then went walkabout & ended up at Mistral where there were some good & some not so good performances on the karaoke Last night in Roda was like friends reunited, every where you looked there were people hugging & kissing as old friends spotted each other, i don't think you'd get this anywhere else. It's been another glorious day here, not a cloud in sight & the sea was like a warm bath, had a chat with Steve down on the beach & i've just seen Costas from Roda Park, the festival next Sunday evening gets underway about 18:30hrs and sounds like it will be a good night. Siesta time now before Maggie's sunday dinner, then back to Crusoes where we can't do any worse than last night ;D Or can we ? pete.

Got to start off with a big thank you to a nice lady named Lynn who had reserved the last trifle in Maggie's last night, when i asked for one Maggie very embarassingly {for me} talked her into having something else There was no disgrace in coming third in the quiz which was won by Parsonsgang, although it must be pointed out that Nikki was sat at our table so it was Mike & the kids who actually won ! Everyone was set for an earlyish night, Pedro747 going home today, Nikki & co off to Hydropolis and yours truly getting too old to handle it anymore , we met Treece with her daughter & sister and a good time was had by all, as it happened, if the mikman delivered in Roda we would have seen him ;D It's been a bit warm today and i hope all the new arrivals have put plenty of suncream on, the forcast is for it to get even hotter. I've seen young Spiros & Eva this morning, can't believe how she has changed since she was born, took lots of photos which i'll puit on later. I've got about 50 new riddle photos so far and i think they are all easy - but then again i know where they are Siesta next then Roda Park. pete.

Bumped into Jomike last night, there are lots of new white faces in the village today so hopefully things are starting to pick up. It's really warming up now with the temperature outside around 90 in the shade & no breeze to speak of. Just seen Spiros & Eva again and have got some more great photos to show you. There are so many "same time" regulars here at the moment that it's taking ages to get from a to b, always stopping to have a chat, now i know what Steve means when he says that it takes him hours just to get into the village. Nikki won the quiz in Oscar's last night & we got third again at Crusoes, not too bad considering a team of 8 won it & a team of 6+ mobile internet phone came second, if winnig means so much to them then good luck to them, Had a really nice meal in Roda Park last night - Stamnas = lamb & potatoes in a red wine sauce with cheese on top - lovely. pete.

You are getting earlier with your Onsite reports pete???..isit because you tend to make an early start with the quizes or getting hungrier as the days wear on.........cos it must be really hard for you all out there with that HEAT..........hope you are keeping a bit aside for when I come out? ....isn't it nice to see "Old Faces" in Roda...................

310C today and rising to 340C by Friday when it starts to tail off a bit.
Relative humidity is mid-range, running between 50 & 65. This is what it feels like:
DEWPOINT PERCEPTION 52 & less COMFORTABLE 53-56 SLIGHTLY NOTICEABLE 57-59 QUITE NOTICEABLE 60-63 STICKY 64-69 UNCOMFORTABLE 70 + INTOLERABLE
So a bit warmer yet, Pete ... but a strong maestro by Saturday to cool us down a bit. This is more normal than the last few weeks.

It's great Kaz, it feels like i know more people out here than i do at home, the last couple of reports have been earlier because i've been seeing a man about a dog - more to follow shortly. As hot as it's getting it's not getting sticky with it yet because as Steve said the humidity level is still fairly low, it better had last till september Kaz because i'll be here with you. pete
