Home again ( but only for 4 weeks !! ). Yet another fab holiday in Roda.
Flew from Newcastle with Jet 2..... yet again much praise to them !!
That little bit of extra leg-room in their 'Standard' seats makes a world of difference !! Cabin Staff superb ... nothing was too much trouble. Smiles all round ( real ones !!!) Flight on-time ... no probs !!
Coach transfer from Airport to Roda .... PURGATORY !!!! Two and a half hours !!! The longest I've ever experienced !!! ( even though I missed a lot of it due to large intake of wine on 'plane !! )
Arrived at Theodorus/Fiona and the welcome made-up for it. First time the 'Crew' had stayed there and it is a fabulous place to stay.
We were in the Fiona part of the complex and it's great !!
Rooms are a goodly size, spotlessly clean , and the beds are Not made of ferro-concrete !! Bit short of shelf space (none ) but stacks of hanging space in wardrobes ( lots of coat hangers as well !! )
The kitchen space, although small, was the the best fitted-out I've ever come across !!Two hot-plates (standard Greek style ), combination Microwave/Grill , "Breville" type grill, electric kettle and enough pots/pans plates cutlery so friends visiting wouldn't be a problem.
The gardens/Pool area was kept immaculate. Pool temperature ... comfortably cool !!! Pool Bar ... Oooo YES !!!
Only critism is the time it took to get a drink !! All drinks had to go 'through' Jess ( bless her little cotton sox !! ) who ran aroun like a demented chicken trying to keep-up with the sun-parched hordes.
Theo and all his 'Crew' were great. We're booked-in again in September and really looking forward to it !!
'Slippery Floors'? All over the place but so are the signs warning of 'Slippery Floors' !!!! Slow and easy is the answer to this !! ( just like the way I work !! ).
Entertainment and meals were brill ( and cheap !! ) 'Nuff said !!
I know that you're all waiting to know what I got up to around the village, as my good friend Anna (from Alexandros) has hinted but that will have to wait till tomorrow ....... I've got an early start in the morning TTFN .... Johno
