Steve, last year the Panorama had a range of English Dishes in their menu e.g. Pie and Chips.
One of the youngsters with us also had a fabulous looking Indian dish there that was huge and apparently very tasty.
One of the dishes I really wanted to try last year but never got round to it was on offer in either Odysseus or Panorama I think on a 'specials' board outside.
It was a local dish of Beef cooked with 'plums' would you believe?
A strange and interesting combo, but wondered if anyone had tried it or know what it's called?

I don't know the dish with plums, Tony, but there are many sweet & savoury combinations in the Med. and I have often used plums with meat - and apricots, prunes & quinces.
Of course, the combination of onions, bacon & apples is very nice - and very British!

Hi Steve Maybe you got my point a bit wrong lol restaurants cater for what people demand and the amount of people who " don't want foreign muck" ...the majority of which probably haven't even tasted Greek food. We have seen a lot of pizza , chips and spag bol type dishes at a variety of places , we always try and stay Greek and often follow recommendations of the waiters etc. We love everything about Greece and Roda is one of our Fav resorts I just hope it retains its "greekness" and does not end up like the more "british" type resorts Maria

Hi Marie - I think I understood, but I couldn't think of anywhere that does a UK menu. I understand that many Greek restaurants do a small selection of UK meals for those who deny themselves the opportunity of our wonderful Greek cuisine, but they are predominately Greek in nature. Of course, curries, bolognese, pizzas & chimichangas are not British anyway and don't forget that Italy is little more than sixty miles away. The Turkish influence on Greek cuisine never inflitrated Corfiot cooking and the island was governed by both Rome and Venice at various stages in it's history.

As well as branching out with the tapas & mezes Maggie can still do the traditional things like making someone's birthday special, here she is with a birthday cake for Alisha (nikki's eldest) on the day she became a teenager... pete. p.s. - and very nice it was too.
