Anyone remember Costas. The one on the right (with 'The Mallen Streak' ) Had quite a few trips on his boat.....he made us all take our shoes off before we boarded and we had to make sure it was as spotless when we left.....or else!!!! What a smooth operater he was.....sadly no longer with us.

I dont remember captain costas but.......i do remember the man in the background, we used to call him 'passport' i cant remember his real name. He would come into Roxanes quite late in the evening and go around everyone in the bar with a huge grin on his face saying 'passport passport' as if asking people to show their passports ;D ;D does anyone else remember him??

Hi Tracy, the passport man is George's dad who used to work at the kind hearted place. George always used to tell me stories of his father doing this - how funny. His dad and mum now have the tourist shop next to the corner. Stacy. x

Hi Stacey, He was very funny, a great character which is why is suppose i remember him so well. (It must be nearly 20 years ago)Infact we almost waited in anticipation for him to appear every night..... coming down the road shouting 'passport passport' i think he also wore some sort of ships captain naval hat ;D

Hard to believe that was George's dad, was only talking to him and George's mum a couple of weeks ago and he never asked for my "passport" once. Don't you think George is now the image of him???. Bumped into George at the airport as we were in the queue for check in on 6 October (he was seeing his fiancee off) & he told us we were not allowed to go home, wanted us to move into his parents spare bedroom so we could stay longer. Wouldn't accept we had jobs to return to. Eventually we had to promise we would be back next year (real hardship don't you think?) before he would let us go. What a sweetie he is!!!! love him to bits & can't wait for next June to return to our second home & see all our wonderful friends again (including Steve & Julie of course).
