Hi Tartanannie, I knew you'd love The Elizabeth and Roda. Say Hi to everyone at The Elizabeth from myself and Nigel, tell them we'll see them on the 5th/6th July. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Luv Jan X

just a quick message i was taught this and now i will pass it on, if you wash with olive oil lavender soap then it usually keeps the mosies away.

Lavender seems to have properties which deter blood sucking insects. I know that horse flies (clegs) and midges have no love for lavender, any of our gardening experts shed any light?

I never knew anyone by face when i got there just user names but was reassuring. we wont be stayong at elizabeth again but dont let that put you off them they are fab apartments, just didnt suit us. so see you all next year ;D ;D

Hi Tartanannie, so pleased that you enjoyed your time in Roda and that it has weaved it's magic on you for next year. It was nice to meet you at the F.G.T , they are really worth popping into when you are over there, i'll add you to next year's list. pete.

Hi Tartanannie,
Glad you enjoyed Roda - you now have the bug like the rest of us! It is very hard to shake off!
Out of curiousity what was it about the Elizabeth that made them unsuitable for you - just that we are thinking of trying them for next year - any feedback would be useful (if you dont want to put on here you could send me a personal message). We are in Roda 23rd July so will pop in for a look around but would welcome a personal opinion.
kind regards, Kath.

Hi Kath, my son has health issues and cant be out and about all the time as he tires easily, the apartment though 2 bedrooms wasnt big at all with 2 teenagers. he also has mobility issues. in the apartment he slid several times on small amounts of water, on one occassion narrowly missing the concrete shower tray, had he been an inch to the left he would have been seriously injured as he would have hit it with his skull. the floors a death trap with any water on it which when kids coming in and out of pool is often. the self catering is too much hassle unless you are an expert in one pan meals, my son is a fussy eater and we couldnt afford to eat out 3 times a day. I myself slid on the water and could barely sit down for a week, the flight home was most uncomfortable. Everything about the place apart from the apartment is great, lots of other people had no problem at all with their apartments and the people are lovely, it just isnt for us.

WE FOUND THE SAME THING, FANTASTIC PLACE, JUST TOO SLIPPY FLOORS AND NOT ENOUGH ROOM IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE OUT 7 NIGHTS A WEEK. OWNERS ARE FAB JUST SHAME APARTMENTS NOT DONE UP FOR A WHILE.

Hi Jan, I thought the apartments in general were fine, not as tired sounding as you have suggested. as i said the only problem i had was the floors. TA
