There are two boat-hire companies in Roda, Heidi, one at each end of the village. Rik runs Voyager Boats from the beach by the Afordite and Sam's Boats operates from a small jetty at the eastern end of the village, right opposite the Brandy Shop. Take a look at a page we did for this area in the May edition of our online magazine : UNDISCOVERED RODAYou will also see Myron's Scootr Hire, although he has now moved. The other hire company to look at is one of the biggest in Corfu. See SUNRIDERS. As for prices? Not sure at the moment, but perhaps other members can help. Steve

I don't know about boat hire in Roda, but I have hired a boat from Kassiopi. The attraction with Kassiopi is that to the south of the harbour there are a lot of very small beaches which are only accessable from the sea so you can find yourself your own private beach for the day.I'm trying to get a boat for this May through Kassiopi Travel but so far I've only recieved an automated responce from them. I'll keep trying and post any results I get.

I don't know the exact prices but Rik has prices per hour, 4 hour, half day & full day, it is also dependent on what size engine you pick. pete.

Seems a long way to go to hire a boat, johnofish, with two perfectly good companies in Roda. Come on folks - let's support the locals!

Never hired a boat before. Has anyone hired one and had children with them? My youngest is 2 years and oldest is 14.
Always fancied it but never tried....

At Rik's boats everyone is given a life jacket and Rik will not let you go out if he thinks the sea is or is likely to get rough so you should be fine taking the kids out. Threerashers took his grandson out the other year and the young man told me it was brilliant. pete.

Hey Steve, are you having a senior moment!! Travelling from the Gareloch to Kassiopi to hire a boat may seem a long way to go, but as long as it's via Roda that's fine by me! ! !

My lads have been out on Spiro's (Rik) boats quite a few times with their dad and sometimes Spiro. He's very careful, looks after his boats well and is a good windsurfing coach too!

Hi Heidi Probably nobody will know prices till the beginning of the season, when everyone sets up shop again! Maybe come May, someone will be able to help you with that one. Jackie

Hi there Heidi, I'll be in Roda 3rd May so I'll let you know prices ASAP if our resident experts don't beat me to it. ( I'd put my money on them as they hate to let people down)
