It is with a greatly saddened heart that I bring this news to you. Simon Anscombe, husband of Janet (tattooedJanet), died on Monday evening, he was 44 yrs old. He had been ill just a short time. We met Simon at a forum meeting in July when he, Janet and the children were in Roda for their holiday. It was the largest forum get together to date so far! Simon Anscombe We do not have any date for the funeral yet but we do know that there will be a cremation. Janet has promised herself that a little bit of Simon will remain in Roda forever, when she is able to return. Our thoughts are with you, Janet as well as the children.

My heart goes out to you and your children Janet. I hope the pain that you're feeling now will start to fade over time and that you'll be able to return to Roda once again. Nikki

Thanks for this steve, i'm sure simon is watching from above wondering what all the fuss is about. When janet is able to she will look upon this posting as a welcome reminder of her husband and the place he loved.

I didn't know Simon, but I'd simply like to add my sincere condolences to the many which have already been recorded on the Forum. I do hope they will bring just a little comfort to Janet and the children.

Simon's funeral will take place on Tuesday 20th October at 11:15am gmt in Newhaven crematorium and we have been asked to light a candle in the village church in Roda at that time (13:15 Greek time).
Janet has been told of everyone's postings but she does not have internet access at the moment. Through Gail, she has asked that everyone be thanked for their messages of condolence.
