Hi Angie, welcome to the forum, if you have a look around the site all of your questions will be answered, there are some members views on the Afroditi under the accomodation section and lots of reviews of the different bars & restaurants as well. There is a map of the resort on the main rodaonline page which shows most of the various accomodations, bars, restaurants , doctors etc. Hope this helps. pete.

Hi Angie, welcome on board - the Afroditi and Blue Gardens have nothing between them except olive groves - about 500 metres. It's an easy walk on a good road, and very pleasant, alongside Costa's Horseriding field. Roda is very compact and you will soon find every bar and restaurant - it's a matter of finding the ones that suit your needs most. What kind of food do you like? I'm sure everyone will chip in with their favourites. We look forward to seeing you.
Steve

Hi Angie, welcome to the forum, I stayed at the Aprodite last year, nice hotel, we paid extra for a sea view which was worth it, there is a number of restaurants & bars to choose from, my personal favourites are Odysseus (turn left out of hotel, just round the corner), but i've eaten in most of them & never been disappointed, bar wise Pirates or Roxannes & of course Splendor bar (ideal for an end of the night drink, my appartment's upstairs!!). Am sure you'll find your own favourites soon enough tho, have a great holiday Joolsd

Hi Angie
The only other difference that I'll mention, between the Afroditi and Blue Gardens is that Blue Gardens are only 500m from the village but it is uphill (in one direction anyway). Worth mentioning incase anyone has mobility problems.

Hi Angie, do you like marmite ? if so take some with you or you can buy it in Roda, have some everyday this works to keep mossie's away as they do not like yeast. The other prevention measure is garlic tablets, start taking these a few weeks before you go. And of course give yourself a good spray before you go out in the evening. As far as restaurants are concerned they are all good. Hope this helps Tony

Hi Angie.......we have stayed at the Afrodite several times and love it there, pity we shall miss you as we fly out in Sept. I was told to use Avon's "Dry Oil Body Spray" for the eve.and that keeps you from being bit.........think it sounds better than being caked in Marmite don't you?.............enjoy your stay and sure you will book again for next year!!!!
