Not pictures, but Maggie & Jeanp were reminiscing tonight and Maggie told us that she was the first person in Roda to offer 'Breakfast in Bread', she only had one microwave and two shelves; somebody was bringing in cooked sausages, somebody else the bacon and the rest was an assembly line.
She was the first person to offer sandwiches for the airport instead of buying airline food. One day she had orders for 147 sandwiches when a storm broke and she couldn't sort out the sandwiches from the customers rushing in for shelter. It was clearly a day to remember. Were you there on that day, then tell us your story?

I remember a really big storm one year not sure if it was 1988 or 1989, There was spectacular lightening for hours out at sea, which seemed to light up the whole sky. We were at Ninos on the beach having dinner and they couldnt cook anything as there was no power, so we all had egg and chips (dont know how they cooked that?? maybe on gas) The power cut went on for a few hours and a few people opened their shops to sell candles, they had queues coming out of the door. I was in one of thoses queues with my mum and just as we handed over our money for some candles all the lights came back on lol
