The 2 euro beer at the Harbour Bar is in fact Royal Ionian on draught. I believe that the brewery, in the north-east of the island, is about to launch a brown ale and, soon, they will be producing a bottled real-ale.

I dont think 2.5-3 is bad id be happy to pay £2.30-2.70 a pint over here (not including cheapy wetherspoons). some resorts are takin the p i outa tourists someone i know went to some spanish island and paid around 3-5euros plus. considering the current climate roda seems to be reasonable as always just a shame the euro to the pound is poor. Got mine for 1.08 today. does anyone know the current rate in roda? as last year we got 1.15 or so here and in roda they did it for 1.23-1.26 or so

Yeah, Luke. Someone was telling us that it's like a fiver a pint in some places. So I was telling them how Roda's prices are still much the same as they've been for ages. I love Roda.

Hi Luke - it's not the euro to the GB Pound that is poor, it is the other way around - the GB Pound being very weak. The exchange rate in Roda is published almost every day by Miriam at Dromeas - we saw 1.14 at one point today which is about 1.12/1.13 after commission, depending on where you do the exchange. That's an extra two pints for every £100 spent.

;D ;D ;D What have I always said. The best value for beer, spirits, breakfast and other snacks in Roda is THE HARBOUR BAR. Spiro got me a barrel of the local Ionian beer last year and it was, in my experienced view, better than Amstel or Mythos. Looking forward to downing another barrel in July. Tell Spiro to have it ready. ;D ;D ;D
