I'm also trying to book a taxi from the airport to roda for friday 22nd May, but when I sent an email to alpha taxis I couldn't get through, can anyone help or put me in touch with a taxi Hi mommagrito - send us your flight and accommodation details as soon as possible by personal message. We will contact Roda Taxis directly and make the necessary arrangements. As soon as you let us know, we will ring Yiannis and confirm. Steve

Hi I know its like £40 now to get a taxi to roda but we were 3 hours on our transfer yes she did say 3 hours. You dont mind on the way back it was about 1 1/2 hr on the way back and we passed the crossroads 4 times with the various pick ups I was looking for a mulberry bush!!! lynda

That's a nightmare though, you'd think they'd go do that, THEN come pick up in Roda on their final pass-by! lol
We were 3 hours or something, the first time Colin came with me. That's how he now refuses to do the coach transfer now! And to tell you the truth, it put me off too....

Holidaying in Roda this August. Sounds like we should be a taxi from the airport.
Is the coach transfer really that bad ? I thought it might be a chance to see some of the island.

Hi Mike, if you've never been to Corfu before the coach transfer (if it follows the east coast) is a nice journey, it's just that it can take a long time and depending what time you have been out of bed since quite tiring, also if it's going to be dark you're not going to see much anyway. On the other hand in daylight some of the scenery is breathtaking. pete.

Kalimera Mike, the scenery on the coach transfer is fantastic but after spending 3 hours getting to Roda from getting off the plane I am getting a taxi. You can always take the coach back to the airport. Quite a few of us seem to be doing that looking at the posts.

while my husband and I are staying in Roda our daughter tries to come out for a week and she always books the airport shuttles and it is so cheap, sometimes it is on the shuttle bus. Last year it was a taxis to Roda and back for less than 20euros. We are going to try it ourselves this year as 90euros plus tip is a lot out of our holiday money. I know you will say we should support the local taxis but if we are going to stay in Roda for a month we will have to cut costs. We will be supporting the locals other ways though wont we!

Hi Marg, I agree, we're using the shuttle bus too, £10 each return for 6 of us, takes a bit longer I know, but alot cheaper when you're watching the pennies Joolsd
