Terms and Conditions
General
It is neither possible to review all forum postings as they are made, nor to confirm the content of the information they contain. Roda Online is not responsible for the nature of forum postings, but all messages are monitored for suitability. We are not responsible for the accuracy, extent or value of any posting as each one expresses the views of the author of the posting. Messages are not necessarily consistent with the opinion of Roda Online. Prior to taking action based upon any forum posting, users should confirm, to their own complete satisfaction, that the information given is both accurate and valid.
Roda Online reserves the right to censor or remove offensive postings and any viewer who feels that a message is not appropriate should contact a staff member directly by personal message or by email. If it is deemed that action is justified, the posting will be dealt with as quickly as possible, bearing in mind time differences and the availability of staff members.
Each individual forum member or guest visitor is responsible for their own postings and should agree to indemnify Roda Online from any damage, loss, compensation or other liability arising from the content of forum postings. Do not post files to this forum which contain copyrighted material for which you have not obtained permission, in writing, from the author to post. We reserve the right to reveal any member’s details in the unlikely event that legal action is taken as a result of something posted on the forum by that member. Personal messages are not included.
For legal reasons, the minimum age for registration on the forum is 13 years.
By registering on the forum or by making guest postings, you must agree to abide by the forum rules, to respect the ‘Code of Conduct’ and to understand that all messages and their contents become the exclusive property of Roda Online. We, and our appointed administrators, have the right to delete, modify or otherwise use the content of such postings.
Code of Conduct
Our goal is to maintain a discussion forum that encourages active posting by both new and existing members. Your activity in discussions is welcomed and we ask all contributors, as far as possible, to ensure that proper, verifiable information is posted which does not contain misinformation or hearsay offering little of real value to our viewers. In trying to achieve this, we have created a ‘Code of Conduct’ as a guideline for posters to refer to.
Please ensure that the content of all postings contains nothing that is knowingly false or inaccurate, rude or disrespectful, abusive or hateful, vulgar or obscene, defamatory or threatening, sexually orientated or which, in any way, contravenes any European law. Any such posting will not be tolerated. It will quickly be deleted and the status of the poster reviewed.
Please do not post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or have the express permission of the copyright owner in writing.
Roda Online and its forum exist to promote the village of Roda. The companies listed in Roda Pages and any other company based in the village are encouraged to use the forum to promote their businesses online. If you are a company from outside of Roda, with no representation in the village, then please do not use our forum for self-promotion. Signatures and/or tag lines will be permitted if they support Corfu in general and Roda in particular. If you do not fall into any of these categories, please do not use the forum to advertise, solicit business, promote chain letters or introduce links for self-promotion. If you wish to promote any individual, business, product, cause or service, please do so through the proper channels.
Please refrain from posting anything that might be considered by others to be of an ‘adult’ nature, including photographs, comments or jokes.
It is a requirement of this forum, that all postings should be in English. If you need to post in any other language, please provide a full and accurate translation at the same time.
Please respect the rights of other users to post comments and ideas that do not necessarily agree with your own and do try to keep all threads relevant to the main topic of that thread.
Rodaonline and its administrators reserve the right to delete, amend or modify any post considered to contravene this ‘code of conduct’ and, in extreme circumstances, remove the offending member from the forum.
