We've just returned home from the first official night at what was one of Roda's most popular bars - the Tropicana. We will tell you more tomorrow when we have trawled through something like 500 photographs. Now called 'Island Tropicana', it was standing room only with most of the village 'faces' putting in an appearance - even Kostas from Roda Park in a suit! Steve

We've just finished looking at 553 photos of the Tropicana and maybe tomorrow we can post a few here. We were told today that Elpida, one of the family now running the bar, had worked a straight 48 hours non-stop - she was working right through the night and had a childrens' party to organise this morning. I guess she has had a sleep now and is back on duty ... and that's in March!

'Island Tropicana' is open, and in spite of what you might read elsewhere, it's still in the same place. Here's the proof:

It's great davvo - visibility is really good and the children can only get out of the play area by coming into the bar. We think the seating in the bar is really comfortable & parents/grandparents can have a good time, watch the kids, and everyone is happy.
