Is it one of the apartment buildings over the bridge - the ones that have been empty for years??? Might explain the dust...........

jpb - I think you stay with Spiros Banos, don't you? It would explain why you know the answer. You are exactly right - anyone who has walked that far has looked at this lamp - it's in the doorway of the apartment block nearest to Spiro's bungalows. At last ......... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Are you saying it's the Makris apartments, then? Or am I in the wrong place, entirely?

I think you are in the wrong place Jacks!
Walking from the direction of the Harbour bar, go over the bridge and round the corner as if you were heading towards Spiros Banos shop. There is an apartment block which once came under Airtours - now has greenery growing through the brickwork(!!) then another building on the corner. We stay with Spiros every year so pass it several times every day - wouldn't have been good if I hadn't recognised it......

So it's near the Makris apartments then? lol I do know the area well. I usually stay in the Makis apartments, so I take a walk down that way on a daily basis. Just not 100% sure where was being described! I'll just have to make sure I get over for a visit this year & check it out myself! lol

You certainly won't want to move out of the Makis apartments and into these ones!! Many years ago we stayed in the one nearer the bridge - opposite Makris - when they were in the Airtours brochure. Think that was one of the last years that they were rented out, must have been about 1994?? Not the best place we've ever stayed in Roda..........

lol Sounds interesting! I do think I know the ones you mean, now. At this point in time, I'd stay anywhere in Roda. Do you think Andreas would give me a sunbed on the beach, folks?
